The intimidating, ominous atmosphere of the building made it inherently difficult to infiltrate the enclosed area that was the suspect's office. A small groan was emitted from the very back of his throat, his lanky body shrinking to the cold ground as he desperately fished throughout his buzzing brain for a solution. His heart was pounding so maliciously that he could feel it hammering away in his ears. Running his fingers through his curled hair, he peered into the distance, forcing a frustrating lump of saliva down his throat, biting down his bottom lip angrily. He rubbed at his knee, letting out a cough of upset when he came to the realization of the course of action he would have to accept. He erected himself, staring down at his beaten shoes with regret flooding his mind. It was too late.
A resounding crack suddenly sounded from his back and the corners of his jaw. He yelped gently, squeezing his eyes so tightly he was beginning to see flurries of rainbow colors within his dark view. He peeled his mouth open in order to scream, but was interrupted by his shift completely becoming finished. It only went so quickly due to the distinct reason that he had morphed into a feline a multitude of times. Purring at his speedy transition, he sashayed to the front door of the home, beginning to claw at it and meow violently, almost as though there was a predator bounding towards him. Hisses and moans and groans came from him. Within moments, the doors was flung wide open, exposing the inside of the abode.
Elias sat himself onto the space in front of the towering individual, standing tall with his crow's nest of hair and dusty skin and penetrating green eyes. He swished his tail back and forth, attempting to appear as adorable as possible. Though he expected to be granted a loving pet and acceptance into the man's home, he was instead gifted a horrid, powerful kick to the side of the cat's body, causing it to fly against the sand. The door was slammed, echoing out and into the night. Unfortunately for Elias, he had only just began to handle his newly discovered powers, and therefore returned to his human form right away, coughing in a disgusted manner. His side was infested with a throbbing, headache-inducing pain. He rubbed it tenderly, groaning and letting out shaky breaths.
Very carefully pulling himself up from the ground, he ventured back into the city to find the nearest shop that he could. He owned a limp that shot right to the center of his agony each and every grueling step. He needed help as quickly as possible, so when his eyes read the title of a store, he exploded into it, asking for help, help, help.
(I assumed this would be a good way to meet, in Zinark's shop as you said he was a shopkeeper, and i guess we kinda need a time period for it to be accurate, unless most things are modern, just some things like technology and medical stuff not as advanced? idk) -
( he isn't a shopkeeper but he has a job at a shop, anyway I'm guessing this is happening in karthhaven? One of the made up cities in evras? Anyway there is magic in evras too just to let you know, anyway I hope you don't mind if I RP in my character's POV, I'm just used to RPing that way )
A few humans and monsters gasped and stared at Elias, I heard a commotion and quickly walked from the back of the store/shop to where some others were surrounding a guy who seemed hurt, "excuse me, have to get past" I said to a few of them trying to get to the guy, it seemed like everyone was shocked and didn't know what to do, so they were just being bystanders, "what happened?" I asked the guy, he seemed to be in so much pain, I felt rather bad, but like the others, I was confused, "what help do you need?" I asked -
(os--- my bad i read that under friends and though it was what he did i'm a silly
and yes that would make sense
and yes i thought so with the magic, in fact i'm gonna have Elias know a few spells, but kind of in a Dungeons and Dragons style
that's fine)
Elias let out a heavy breath, peering up at the towering individual. He was a presence, something that the young male had not previously experienced on many occasions. His eyes grew wide with the shock of coming across such a sight, but the boy was not someone that took kindly to judgmental views and so he refrained from releasing his surprise. He slowly pulled up the side of his plain shirt, revealing a large, swollen bruise beginning to form along his torso where the suspect had punted him in his feline form. A faint feeling came over him as he caught a glimpse of the developing injury, his head leering up to the monster in front of him. "I was...attacked." He was not positive that anyone in town would be aware of who he was as he had just come to the city, and so he wished not to explain to them his shapeshifter abilities, especially due to that fact that he had not met many others of his kind. He silently prayed that the other would be capable of aiding him in any way, shape, or form. -
A nearby four eyed monster came near maybe about to go into a series of questions, but I gently nudged her to have her step back and give both me and the injured boy space, she did step back but seemed worried, she was able to hold her tongue though, I took a deep breath and carefully put my arms around him picking him up, I gave a quick glance to the cashier and shopkeeper, "I have to take this poor person somewhere... Uh... A clinic?" I said trying to think fast of where to take him
-
Elias' heart pounded when he was suddenly lifted from the safety of the ground to the height of the other. His breathing hitched as another intense pain shot through his side. It was absolutely dumbfounded. He had never experienced such torture was what was pulsating at that moment. Terrified would be the least qualified way to describe his emotions. He leaned his head back again the thing's arm, allowing him his full trust. All he knew was that he needed medical attention, and fast. That particular sort of reaction had never occurred in his entire course of his powers, even if he had only had them for a short year at that point. Another cough came from his mouth. One of his ribs must have become damaged in the violent action performed by the criminal he'd been trying to expose. "I just need help. From a clinic, a doctor, a healer, anybody. Just, hurry, it f---ing hurts."
-
I looked down towards the boy purring a little to try to comfort him, "I'll get you somewhere as quick as I can!" I said quickly leaving the shop and wandered from street to street until I saw a small clinic up ahead, I walked quickly towards that clinic
-
The young man only moaned in reference to the red mark spreading along his torso and abdomen, creating grotesque coloration patterns underneath of his skin. He was panting, making any effort he could to catch it breath. Anxiety was slowly creeping it's dangerous hand underneath of the boy, prepared to grab his neck and drown him. Giving his trust to a monster when he himself had migrated from a relatively human-based town was nervewracking, but this one in particular appeared to be someone he could fully trust. He wanted so badly to fall back and sleep...sleep was so enticing at that moment, but he fought it off, trying to focus on something, anything, that would keep him stuck facing reality. He tried to get a good view of the other thing's face, that was enough to hold him in a state of being awake.
-
I looked down noticing that he was looking up at me, I could see the pain in his eyes, my ears lowered, whoever had attacked him really seemed to hurt and injure him, I felt bad, "how are you feeling?" I asked
-
Elias could sense a brim of sweat along his hairline, most likely due to the utter shock of being so brutally hit. Heart palpitations set in, forcefully making him inhale and exhale in a shallow manner. He examined the characteristics that made the only one helping him at that moment. It was quite overwhelming. He had hardly seen creatures such as the other, let alone been touched by one. The teenager gave a tiny shrug of the shoulders. It was difficult to yank a coherent response from the flooded city of his brain, and so he only said, in a hoarse, raspy register, "It hurts!" He placed his fingertip against the bruise, wincing in agony as soon as he did so.
-
I gently moved his hand away from his bruise noticing how much pain it caused him, "you will be ok" I said and I continued walking quickly and used my odd three tipped tail to open the clinic door to enter and went to the front desk, "he is hurt" I said nervously, I looked down again to see if he was ok ( could you take over for the person at that desk? Not completely sure how things work in clinics )
-
well wait before I answer, do they have modern medicine and stuff here?
-
( yes they do :) )
-
okay then I'm good
The lady seated at the secretary's circle in the main foyer of the clinic gasped gently. Her skin owned a pink pigment that was calming and beautiful to look at. Her hair was a peculiar orange, and after receiving a better look, one would be capable of seeing little prickly stems along some of her body parts. She let out a high pitched whistle, gesturing for help. Two burly, muscular men burst from the corner of the room, pushing a gurney with extreme power. They appeared like Elias for the most part, save for one of them having rainbow eyes and the other having four arms. They ceased their actions below Zinark, waving for him to place the boy down and onto the gurney. Elias didn't expect the other individual to stick around, as it seemed he was only a lovely passerby that was kind enough to offer aid. Because of this, he stated, "Thank you for your help." He swallowed heavily, his eye twitching. -
I nodded and carefully placed him down onto the gurney, "I hope they get you comfortable soon" I said looking down at him, I was hoping I was allowed to wait or see how he was doing after a while
-
Within seconds, he was being raced down a brightly lit hallway that smelled like most other clinics and hospitals did, all too clean and giving a chemical sort of stench. They had secured Elias' ankles, forearms, and neck to the gurney in order to avoid movement and hurt himself further. He finally allowed himself to succumb to the faintness sneaking up on his. Slowly but surely, his head tilted slightly as he drifted off, his vision being overtaken by darkness. The two monsters pulled him into a large room, closing the door and beginning to attend to the procedures they were supposed to perform, such as placing him into hospital clothes and examine for other injuries.
In the main foyer, the secretary peered up at Zinark, waving sweetly. "Okay, your friend is going to be in the best hands. You may sit here and wait or you may head outside. We have picnic tables and such out there. Thank you." She returned to her station, sitting in front of a strange computer and typing away on the keyboard.
