The cold wind nipped at Elias' ears, therefore making him shiver. He adjusted himself so that they were covered by the burgundy, wool scarf he had wrapped around his neck. His hands, though covered by gloves, were shoved into the pockets of his black pea coat as he mushed through the layer of snow that cast a blanket across the ground of the town. He had a slight limp due to the fact that he wasn't completely healed just yet, but he had given himself enough rest that he was able to be out and about. A leather satchel rested at his side, containing the important documents he owned for nabbing and reporting the criminals he was onto. In the distance, he could see the shop titled the 'Silverleaf Mystic'. He nodded to himself, plodding through the white substance until he was standing front of the entrance of the store. He entered it almost silently, peering around the establishment.
-
I was in the back of the store doing what I was supposed to do, changing up a few items and putting new things up on shelves, I didn't know that Elias was here
-
(I have to go out, respond as soon as I'm back)
-
( ok )

wowie was out for longer than expected
Elias observed the few visitors to the store, his eyes pulling into a squint, pondering the state of Zinark and where he might be. He saw someone standing at a nearby aisle, appearing to be somebody who worked there. He sauntered to the individual, gently tapping them on the shoulder. They turned to him and appeared to be a lizard with a human's body type. It was definitely a male and owned mesmerizing yellow eyes paired with a spliced, slimy tongue. The lizard offered a warm smile, giving a tiny bow. "Welcome! How may I help you?" Elias explained his reason for visitig the store, and the lizard man directed him to the back of the store, where he believed Zinark was attending to duties. With a quick thanks, Elias was off as speedy as possible without hurting his side. In a matter of a few moments, the slender character known as Zinark came into his line of vision. He tapped Zinark, hoping to receive a response. -
I flinched slightly yelping from the unexpected tap, which slightly startled me, I quickly turned around, I looked down huffing trying to calm myself down, "Elias? You came here?" I asked now feeling surprised
-
Elias gave a small wave with the hand that was opposite to his injured side, nodding humbly. He shuffled his foot a few times, biting down on his lip. "Yeah, I did. It was the least I could do for you. Plus, I think you'd be a cool friend." It was difficult for him to even say the simple word. He did not have friends, mostly due to the fact that most rejected him after he explained what he did to criminals. They usually agreed that it was for the better, but did not wish to be wrapped up in the dangerous situations associated with his job. Elias was not positive as to why he referred to it as a job. It did not offer him any sort of monetary gain, and rather he earned a living off the company that he worked for over the internet. He was skilled with people through emails and over-the-telephone interactions. In person, however, he was kind of a wreck, as was noticeable through his strange actions and usually upset mood.

A goofy looking grin grew on my snout, "ooh! I think you would be a cool friend too!" I said gently patting his head with my large hand
-
Elias offered an awkward smile, grasping the strap to his satchel and tapping his foot at that point. Zinark did not seem to have changed much, and neither did he, in all honesty. It had only been a month since they had last seen each other, so there was not much space for improvement over that short period of time. The teenager rolled his neck a few times, staring up at the figure. There were a multitude of questions begging to be asked, but Elias threw them away, assuming he could inquire at a later moment. The boy cleared his throat, licking his winter dry lips and stating, "I see you are working at the moment. Perhaps we could go out for a friendly dinner after you are finished? I could chill around in here. I kind of need to sit down to be honest. I haven't moved around this much for a while so it's a little tiring." He would not admit it, but prior to entering the shop, he had been researching a separate suspect from the one he had been attacked by. That one in particular, he presumed, had been involved in a string of robberies throughout the town, and he had already wracked up a substantial amount of evidence. Unfortunately for him, he had yet to come across a witness with whom he could speak about the suspect without them running off.
-
"Oh yes! I get to leave a bit earlier then usual, I think I could also have an early dinner" I said smiling widely, I turned my head slightly thinking a little, "I'll be out of here in an hour"
-
The teenager nodded in an understanding manner, thanking him. He yawned gently, peering over his shoulder to get a good look at their surroundings. "Okay. I saw chairs near the entrance. I'll go wait there for now. Thanks again, Zinark. I'll let you get back to it." He hurried to the front of the store, giving thanks to the lizard man, as well, and he noticed the name tag read "Juno". His heart pounded heavy in his chest as a recollection threatened to invade his train of though. He silently wished it to disappear, not prepared to deal with the impending depression that was typically paired with the intense memory. Thankfully shaking it away, he seated himself into one of the plush, welcoming seats located at the entrance of the store, ready to wait for the other to complete his shift.

Time quickly passed by for me since I was busy, the shopkeeper checked me and the other employees to see if the jobs were being done, she usually seemed strict and serious a lot of the time, but I remembered what she did when I was really hurt, which was the event that got me the scar across my eye, she actually helped me out a lot, she just had a really hard layer to break through and she was softer on the inside, but again she was the work now fun later kind of person, I smiled slightly thinking about her hidden niceness, I looked back on the clock and noticed that it was really close to the end of my shift

By that specific time, Elias has drifted off and into the realm of sleep. He had been exhausted and kind of just passed out in the spot he'd sat himself at. The boy's breath came out in extended puffs, his mouth just barely open. He was clutching his satchel, his head off to the side. He was dreaming of the same thing he had been praying not to even think about-- his father. The man's name was Juno. He had been tall and muscular, a powerful presence in any room he stepped in. This particular dream involved the first bedtime story his father had ever told. Little Elias sat in his bed, watching his father's actions as he explained a magical land of pirates and looting treasures and fending off extremely terrifying creatures. In real time, a small smile crawled across his face.
