Rosesky wailed out. She missed her other kits already.

Sparrowtail sighed. He had chosen something. Made a terrifying choice. He got up. Passing his brother's sleeping form, he dipped his head. "Goodbye, Fishclaw," he whispered. "I'm sorry." Sneaking into the nursery, he saw all the queens asleep. He pulled Petalkit and Volekit out and took them to the border. With a deep breath, he placed a paw across. One paw, then another, another and another. He made his way to the camp. "Rosesky?" he meowed, setting the kits on the ground.

Rosesky looked up. "S-Sparrowtail?!"

"Rosesky! I..I want to join your Clan." There. It was said. No turning back now. No turning back. He gave her the kits.

"Are you.. Sure? What about... Your Clan?" Rosesky stood up.

"I've never been more sure about anything." As Sparrowtail spoke the words, he knew it was true. "I love you more than ShadowClan." He didn't say my Clan, he said ShadowClan. ShadowClan was no longer his.

Rosesky purred at him. "I'm going to get my leader - he can deside." She whispered in his ear, "You don't have to," and left.

Sparrowtail nodded, hoping that he got to stay. He wanted to. Really wanted to, but his fate was being chosen for him. As long as it was fair, he had to objections. He had broken the warrior code, and he was glad that he had done it.

Harestar got up in front of the gathered Clan cats. The sun had rose; leaving a bright pink-and-orange sky. "Cats of RiverClan," Harestar began. "We have a cat that would like to join us. I have spoken to the elders about it, and they agree." He looked down at his daughter's mate, Sparrowtail. "He, in his honor and love for his family, would like to join RiverClan. Please step up, Sparrowtail." -
Sparrowtail walked up to the leader. Each paw step he took led him away from his childhood, his every living moment until then. Every paw step led him away from his Clan. Each single paw step divided him and the cats he had once called Clanmates. Every step was a step away from his kin and blood and birth. Every single paw step was a paw step to Rosesky.

Rosesky knew he didn't have to do this - but it was all for her.
Harestar put his muzzle on the tom's head. "Do you promise to hold up the warrior code and protect your Clanmates?" -
"I do." The words came from his heart.

"Then I pronounce you - a WArrior of RiverClan!"
All the cats cheered - all but Kestrelflame. He hated Sparrowtail. Rosesky was supposed to be his!
Rosesky cheered, than went back to her kits. She saw a gray shape move. "Kestrelflame - please leave." She spat and let her kits suckle. -
Sparrowtail's spirits soared. He was RiverClan. Not that he wanted the Clan for its fish, he'd have to get use to it, but it was worth the world for Rosesky.

Rosesky felt her kits moving. Bramblekit squeaked, and Violetkit mewed.
