Ivystar paused for a moment, then sighed again.
"Appledusk is over here because I invited him over. And yes..I am expecting his kits." -
"Hmm. Are you in the same Clan as Sweetflower? If not, if I am correct, then Appledusk is. So, if you will, in return, I would like her to be in my Clan."

"This is not my decision. Sweetflower is loyal to her Clan as you should be loyal to yours."

"Ha! What about you?" Raintail smothered. "I want her as a mate, and her only. She'll give my Clan strong, healthy kits. And thats what my sickly, weak Clan need right now." His whiskers twitched. "Her, or your secret."

"Ask Sweetflower." she meowed calmly.

Raintail hissed, then slipped away into the shadows.

Ivystar sighed. She hoped she didn't give away her secret.
Appledusk climbed down and stared at the place Raintail had stood. -
Sweetflower meowed and shuffled her paws.

Appledusk was still staring in shock. "That was more than close. We're done for."

Raintail looked back. He wondered, 'Hmm.' "Hey Appledusk! Sweetflower better come to FeatherClan o else!" He said, loud enough for Appledusk to hear. Then he ran off.

Appledusk sighed. "I'm going to find Sweetflower. She said this tom tried to make her his mate, earlier. I should've paid more attention." he slipped off.

Sweetflower was at the back of the elder's den, repairing a hole in the back. All of the elders had taken refuge in the queen's den, so she was alone. She sighed. She spit out the twig and sat back, exhausted.
