Sweetflower shook her head, then fell asleep in the middle of the camp.

Appledusk curled up in the warriors den. There was a cat sleeping in the middle of the camp - Now, that was going to be funny in the morning. He dozed off.
Ivystar was plunged into a dream. "I can't wait for the show," meowed a cat. "According to Darkfur, it'll be quite entertaining."
"What show?" Ivystar demanded. She knew she was suppose to respect StarClan and she did, usually, but now they where starting to get up her fur.
"Why, the birth of your kits, of course."
Ivystar woke up just as she opened her mouth to speak. Sounding in her head where the words, 'Very dramatic.' -
Sweetflower shifted.

'Dramatic?' Ivystar wondered. She wasn't sure she liked Darkfur's idea of entertaining, whatever it may be.
Appledusk went to the dirtplace and back. The cat was still there. -
Snowwillow murmured in her sleep; "I'm..for-forever alone, father.."

Appledusk walked out.He was going to find that tom he'd heard about earlier..yes, on the FeatherClan border.
Ivystar slipped out of the camp. Absentmindedly, she padded towards the ShadeClan border. Maybe it was because she'd gone that way so often. -
Sweetflower woke up. "Murr," she meowed.
Raintail snarled. He couldn't find that she-cat. Where was she? -
Appledusk tasted the air. FeatherClan, but not right. Hang on- he recognized it! "Ivystar?"
"Appledusk?" Ivystar asked. She was sitting on her side of the border. "What do you know about Raintail?" Appledusk asked hurriedly.
"Raintail? He's just a tom. Why are you so bothered?"
"I-nothing." Appledusk didn't know anything yet. -
Raintail heard voices. He laid deep into the ferns.

"Aren't you tired?" Appledusk asked softly.
Ivystar closed her eyes, then opened them again. "No." Appledusk purred. "Me neither. I think we can afford to be loud, no other cat is around here."
Ivystar laughed. "I know Raintail crossed into your territory," she meowed. "He told me he was chasing a vole and went too far. He was given due punishment."
Appledusk nodded. "One of my Clan saw him." Ivystar meowed, "I'll mention it at the Gathering, so nobody gets the wrong impression."
Appledusk felt a rush of love. Ivystar was so smart.
"I love you," Ivystar breathed. "I love you too." Appledusk purred. -
Rainail stuck out his tongue.

"Race you up that tree!" Ivystar meowed suddenly. She bounded up the trunk, Appledusk close behind. He soon overtook her. "Whew, I'm slower than I used to be!" Ivystar exclaimed. Appledusk gazed at the stars. Did they approve, or disapprove of this? Seemingly, both, if one could judge by two cats.

Rainatil watched them. He yowled.

Ivystar glanced down, horrified. "Raintail!" they both breathed. "Hide!" Ivystar cried. "It's possible he didn't see you!"
"Possible," echoed Appledusk dryly. He vanished among the leaves.
Ivystar went down. "What are you doing here?" she asked. -
Rainatil smirked. "What is APPLEDUSK doing, is the real question. And, are you excpecting his kits?"
