Blue felt very selfish for having so many breakdowns in one day. At this point, he just wanted to leave and go home. Thus, he forced his blue eyes shut in an effort to stop the tears from squeezing out. He had to stop crying. Had to. Blue's only goal now was to get himself together and act like a real man in front of his new friend. Liam had more reasons to be depressed than he. Why was he always so depressed? He had a relatively normal life, one would suppose. Meanwhile Liam had something physically wrong with him.. and seemed to get along pretty well. Not the best. But yknow. Decently.
Blue grasped his own blond hair with his hands, tugging it and gritting his teeth. The flood of emotions didn't seem to want to stop. Despite his best efforts, more tears squeezed out of his eye sockets. The tears steamy and wet rolled off his cheek, onto his neck, and then collected onto the grey cotton collar of his shirt.
If Liam wasn't there, though, it would be worse. Without anyone to comfort him, he would've been shaking, screaming, sobbing. The whole nine yards. A complete mental breakdown. But no. In front of Liam, he had to control himself. Blue didn't really care about what anyone thought of him, except Liam.
Blue cared about what Liam thought of him. This realization was like enlightenment to him. Somehow, someway, this practical stranger mean so much to Blue that he cared about what he thought of him. Woah. Blue's swollen eyes opened.
No more tears escaped. Instead, a small smile cracked open on his lips. -
Over the course of Blue's breakdown, Liam had managed to stay relatively calm and collected given the circumstances. His comforting actions persisted, offering strokes along the other boy's hair, quiet shushes (a sound he was capable of as it did not involve the vibrating of the vocal chords), and well as gentle squeezes to one of the boy's hands. He hoped sincerely that his attempts were doing wonders in some out-of-the-ordinary, magical sort of way, as if someone as incapable as himself was making a difference. He opened his mouth in order to reassure his friend that everything would turn out alright in the end. An inkling of sadness traced itself throughout his stomach upon recalling that he did not hold the ability to do so. He bit his tongue in a frustrated manner, but refrained from upsetting himself as the only thing that mattered in that particular moment was giving aid to Blue. The mute individual found it rather depressing to witness the other so down and depressed. He also found it to be unfair, something that he would not wish upon even the worst of enemies.
The capability of feeling so awfully melancholy was something unknown to the smaller male. No matter what destructive roadblock or obstacle was placed upon his path, he always managed to find a bright side. And now, after coming across Blue, he was forced to face the less than shiny fact that not everyone was able to pick out a diamond in the rough. It was a realization that was necessary for him, he decided, as he observed the dried tears on the other boy's cheeks as well as the fresh waterworks that had just made themselves known. He swallowed heavily, watching Blue yank crudely at his own hair. His own hands unconsciously reached forward, pulling them gently away so as to prevent the other from hurting himself due to the actions. His head tilted as it appeared as though the other was resolving the conflict with himself in order to return to a much more tranquil state. The smile that spread across Blue's facial features was rather confusing in the boy's opinion. How one was so able to transition from tears to an endearing smile was perplexing, but Liam deemed it best to avoid begging any questions pertaining to the sudden switch.
Instead, he smiled in response to Blue, patting the boy's head in a vivacious manner, as if he had been waiting for him to grow happier the entire time. In all honesty, he would have been quite alright if the tears and sadness had continued for longer than they had. When friends come along, it was in one's best interest to help them as much as necessary. As it appeared he had done his job correctly for the time being, Liam threw a single thumbs-up into the air. -
Blue's next action was quite impulsive. He reached down to Liam's chin and pulled it up gently. He then kissed Liam's cheek for a few seconds. "Thank you, Liam. For being here for me."
However, once he realized what he had done, he pulled back and blushed. Part of him was very concerned that Liam wouldn't accept the action that he had just taken. However, he said nothing about it and just merely looked into the crystal blue globes that were his eyes.
Goddamn, they were so beautiful.
Liam's eyes were so pure. They were the beautiful, thick and heavy crystal ball that could scry into the future. The crystal ball that held the secrets of many, but said nothing. The silent, blue lake at night that allured you to swim beneath its warm, shallow surface into the unknown and mysterious depths. They were the grey storm clouds on a rainy April day that beckoned with warning of a destructive evening. They were the crescent moon that spoke to the few capable of listening.
And he found that he loved them. He loved his eyes and the mystery and personality behind them. So he stared into them, appreciating them for all their beauty. -
The boy had never experienced the butterflies that accompanied receiving such a compassionate gesture as a kiss, even if it was only placed upon his cheek. His stomach churned wildly, his breathing hitching as Blue's soft lips made contact with his skin, which promptly turned to a light pink hue. He tensed for only a moment, rather taken aback by the boy's action. It was not that he didn't enjoy it, because he did, wholeheartedly did. It made him feel recognized on a whole different level, causing his eyes to widen before an adorably lopsided smile plastered itself onto his facial features. He wondered if that's how people felt in the movies, so wrapped up in their affections for another that they were unsure how to react to certain stimuli.
Once his eyes met the other boy's, he decided to hold the gaze initiated by the other. He took to examining the lovely blue in the boy's irises, enraptured by their appealing color, which paired magnificently against the boy's skin. Liam was unsure as to what he was doing, and he obviously could not voice his opinion as to what they should do next, but he found himself leaning forward a bit. He would have continued, but grew frightened as he was very lost without the spoken consent of Blue. He had little to no way of asking if he would be permitted to...
An idea formed in his head. The boy pulled his hand up to Blue's face, tracing a line through his cheek until he came to the boy's lips. He tilted his head as his fingers made contact with them, his eyes opening a bit more in order question whether or not it was certainly alright to kiss him.
Kiss him. Kiss him-- the idea brought a flood of memories from sappy romances that he had watched during late night television excursions. This string of images only caused him to want the connection more. -
Ahh they're scute
Blue nodded in permission. He gave Liam the full permission to kiss him- assuming that's what he desired. The skin of Blue's cheeks had turned a bright rosey colour at the thought of his lips connecting with Liam's. He hadn't ever kissed anyone outside of family before. Not a girl nor a boy.
This arose a sickly question in his mind. Did he like women or did he like men? He remembered the last person he had liked. It was in fourth grade. Her name was Olivia. She had olive skin and long brown hair. Her bright blue eyes always shone with happiness and bravery even in the darkest of times.
He supposed it wasn't normal to not like anyone throughout highschool. After all, he had pretty much went through the extent of puberty now and had still never masturbated or had sex. Nor had he watched p---. Or even thought about having sex. He rarely had boners. When he did they were random. Blue couldn't figure it out and he was upset about it. Hell, he couldn't even remember the last time he had thought about sex. The very thought of sex scared, shocked and maybe even disgusted Blue a little!
Blinking and warping back into the moment, Blue leaned in a bit closer to his current crush. The boy that was currently the most important in his world. Blue, feeling dramatic and emotional, would even go so far as to describe Liam as his entire world. -
love them they are cute babies
Upon receiving the proper permission, Liam found himself leaning in until he absolutely was not able to anymore. He pushed himself past the last bit of space between them, staring at the other boy's lips for a few seconds. His heart began to race just slightly, but he disregarded that, instead pushing forward in order to finally connect their lips. He closed his eyes, a bit lost as to what he should be doing. It frightened him slightly, in actuality, how unsure he was.
A part of him screamed at him, warning him that if he failed in pulling himself together, Blue may become disinterested in him-- as if their entire friendship, though sudden, depended on his ability to kiss the other. On a whim, he opened his arms, wrapping them around Blue in a desperate throw to help him figure out just what what necessary in the gesture. It relaxed him to an extent, his own lips molding just slightly more enjoyably against the others.
He wondered if the anxiety he felt was typical for somebody such as himself. His mind was screaming in pure excitement, but his body was working against him, trembling gently as he grew more worked up about his lack of experience. He nearly pulled away, but something about being so close urged him to stay, perhaps wait for the other boy to guide him.
And then he pondered the idea of whether or not Blue himself had done anything of the likes-- kissing, hugging, holding, the rest that Liam tended to ignore in his daily life. He secretly hoped he hadn't, as it would comfort him more. As he dwelled on what he'd thought, he felt rather selfish, but forgot about it rapidly as it was silly to believe he was being greedy. -
Right? Like omf I should make fanart
Blue was somewhat unsure of what he should be doing as well. He pressed his lips against Liam's moist, pink ones. Blue soon figured to just do what they do in the movies. It was something called a lip lock and he figured it couldn't be too hard.
So, he positioned it so that his top lip was above Liam's top lip. And so that his bottom lip was below Liam's top lip. He sucked on the other's top lip naturally. Eventually, Blue found himself getting the hang of the motions. He then switched so that Liam's lips were in the position his were.
He found himself loving the feeling of Liam's warm and perfect lips pressed against his own. He pulled away for a second, licking his lips. Within a few seconds though, Blue felt the need for more. The blond boy sighed, wrapping his arms around the speechless boy's neck and pressing their lips together once more. -
HONESTLY IF YOU DO PLEASE SHOW ME BC UUUMPH SO CUTE
As they continued their actions, he began to grow accustomed to them, finding himself melting against the touch of the other in complete fascination with the emotions bombarding him. He followed Blue's lead, moving his lips in the ways that he assumed would feel correct for both parties. Though slightly overwhelming, the onslaught of absolutely beautiful feelings was enough to compensate for whatever worries he may have had at the time. His heart felt as though it may burst out of his chest, and he found himself needing something to help relax it.
The only aid he would receive was to focus solely on Blue and himself as well as exactly what they were doing. As they continued kissing, he found himself relaxing further and further, until the only trace of sheepishness was the tint to his cheeks. After some time, he shyly pulled away, instead hugging Blue tightly. He was sure to hide his face against the boy's shoulder, a small puff of air escaping his lips.
He hoped that he had kissed him long enough. It was his first kiss, and having no experience whatsoever had done little to help him. He couldn't see himself continuing, however, rather astonished with everything he was feeling at that point. -
I probably will when I get home lmao
Blue held the other male quite close. He had an odd need to keep Liam close. It was as if Liam was the only thing keeping him sane. He was seeing the light at the end of the tunnel and he wasn't sure if that was a good thing or not.
He didn't want to need romance to keep himself happy. But then again, what is happiness? He supposed it was just a state of mind. Perhaps Liam just made it easier to reach that state of mind.
Regardless, Blue didn't want to be losing Liam anytime soon. That became a new fear. He always wanted to wake up with Liam at his side. He always wanted to wake up knowing he had someone. Not just anyone, though. Liam.
He frantically tried to slow his thoughts down. Although this would be an interesting story to tell to his kids if he had any, there was no way to tell if Liam and Blue would become an item or anything. Or even stay an item. He had only known the boy for one day and didn't want to rush into anything. It's not like it was love or anything, right? Nothing major. Some people kissed on the first date, right? Nothing to get worked up about. -
!!!!! EXCITEMENT
The smaller individual had an iron grip on Blue, hugging him tightly, in an compassionate sense of the statement. Keeping his face sheltered was his main concern, however, as his last desire was to reveal how flustered he truly was. He held his breath for a few seconds, wondering if he was partaking in romantic activities far too quickly. It caused his breathing to hitch in a worrisome manner.
Love at first sight appeared in his mind once again. Was it a real, extremely intoxicating occurrence? Or was it only an excuse for individuals like himself to rush into a relationship? He was very overwhelmed at that point, so he allowed himself to sink further against Blue as if that would prevent him from being required to deal with his feelings and face the facts. He also wondered if the other party truly enjoyed his company or if it was just a simple way to feel better.
He hoped it was the more positive outcome. He had finally found somebody who cared as much as Liam usually did for others, and the feeling was enticing. -
Yea boiiiiiiiii
Blue hoped he would be able to make Liam happy in the near future. He didn't want to suck the life and happiness out of him. He had a habit of accidentally suffocating people in the metaphorical sense. After all, he just wanted to see the mute boy happy. After the hallway scene with the bullies today, Blue had found his true purpose.
He thought so anyways. He thought that his purpose was to love and protect the most pure and loving thing in the world. The cutest and most perfect boy he knew.
Liam, of coUrse
He would do anything to ensure that Liam didn't end up like him. He wanted Liam to be successful and happy. All that Blue was good at was computers. He was constantly depressed and anxious and a total loser as well as a loser.
He wanted to ensure that Liam was happy, confident and popular. But how? Blue had no social status and now power to do that.. -
!!!! also i'm pretty sure this is the day after the bully thang because it says liam's parents let him have the day off to be with blue in one of my posts
After some time, Liam pulled back from Blue, but only enough so that he could full see the other boy's face. He smiled faintly, still a bit weary from their prior actions. He observed the other male for a few moments, nodding after a decent amount of time had passed, his grin widening generously. His eyes had a newfound brightness to them, intrigued and interested in the world that could be found when he was with the other boy. It was all so new to him that he could not help but be enthralled by every touch and word spoken to him.
He bit his lip, mouthing 'thank you' in the direction of his friend. Friend? Did people kiss friends? He wasn't so sure, and would have taken the time to ask. His last wish was to seem childish in the eyes of the other, however, so he refrained from doing anything of the sorts. Instead, he rubbed his eyes, looking to Blue with his signature head tilt in order to question what they would do next.
He was fine with anything, as long as they would be together in whatever Blue chose. He had been fortunate enough to be granted the day off, and so wanted to make the most of it, no matter what that might entail. A wave of uncertainty flowed through him as he had no idea as to when he may be capable of seeing Blue once he exited the hospital. And, to be frank, the thought scared him.
School would most likely be difficult. As much as he liked Blue's friends, he was worried that may not entirely accept him without their own friend around. He also wondered if the same three that had taken to teasing him the day before would seek to upgrade to torture. He shrugged it off, wanting to focus on the positives of their day together. -
Oh yeah disregard that lmao
Blue smiled a little, also unsure of what to do. It was hard to play games with Liam being unable to talk. Also, conversation was hard. Could you even love someone that you've hardly talked to? This caused Blue to bite his lip in frustrated rumination.
When no answer disclosed himself, this caused Blue to be even more frustrated. He signed quietly, forcing a small smile onto his face. Perhaps they could watch more television? Or he could give Liam a note pad to write on so they could converse.
Perhaps, he thought, he should learn sign language. It would be easier and less effort for him communicate to the other boy. He felt they could have more in depth conversations that way, too.
However, for now, he decided to pick up a notepad and pen and hand it to Liam. "What's your favorite movie?" He asked, handing Liam the pad and the pen. He eagerly switched his glance from Liam's eyes to the pad and then back to his eyes again. -
xD good stuff
Liam had taken to chewing on his thumb nail, as it seemed they were at a bit of a standstill for the time being. He ceased the action shortly after beginning, however, recalling how bad of a habit it was. When he was younger, nail biting had been one of his worst habits. He had found it inherently frustrating to attempt to put across his emotions with the lack of speech, so actions typically made up for the moments it which he was unable to express himself. Due to this, whenever he was bored or worried, nail biting was in order.
Now, however, it was only a mindless habit that plagued him every now and again. As the pen and notepad were handed to him, his eyebrows raised. He listened intently to the question offered to him, frowning in thought. His eyebrows knitted together, his face softening when he remembered his absolute favorite. He put the pen to the paper, beginning to write the name of the flick.
He paused for a moment, however, his jaw clenching. It was a relatively sappy romance, one that he was unsure Blue would be interested in. He sighed heavily, deciding that it was in his best interest to be completely honest with the other male. He believed that Blue was one of the pure, good individuals that would not judge him under any circumstance.
Carefully, in his neat, easily read print, he wrote the name of the cinematic wonder that was known to many as a romance classic. He swallowed forcefully upon reading the completed answer on the paper.
The Notebook.
