I'm adhd what can I say
Blue nodded at the response. Surely, it wasn't the most manly movie, but he could understand why the other liked it. It had appeal, he couldn't doubt. For a second, he couldn't remember what his own favorite movie was. Then, it dawned on him. "Ah! Mine would be Fight Club or Trainspotting. Probably Fight Club."
Surely, Blue was the more masculine of the two, but who was to care? He was certainly geekier and most likely nerdier as well. So what did it matter? He took a few moments to come up with another question. Of course, this question was fairly basic as well. He would save the deep questions for later, of course.
"What's your favorite novel?" Blue asked, tilting his head. -
Sorry that was short ahh
-
it's all good my dude
Liam tilted his head, his eyes full of pure bewilderment at the boy's response. He had never heard of either film, a bit embarrassed that he hadn't been capable of recognizing either one. He brushed the worry away, once again, positive that Blue would remain kind to him no matter what movies he recognized or music he listened to or books he found himself being pulled into. That was what he particularly preferred about the other gentleman, discovering him to be a very welcoming soul that appeared very unlikely to cause any harm. As he heard the next question, his airy laugh flowed from his mouth. His laughter was not something he particularly enjoyed as it lacked the classic hint of sound that any normal person would own. It was only unsavory blasts of air that might make a very slight, squeezing noise if anything at all. Nonetheless, he leaned down to respond, writing his response in a way that was relatively suspenseful.
The Notebook. Directly after writing it, more of his breathy laughter came from him, but he shook his hand to signify that it was only a joke. He put the pen back to the paper, quickly scribbling down his actual favorite. The Great Gatsby. He preferred this particular novel as it was an American classic, one that he could pick up and read a multitude of times. He pointed to Blue, genuinely interested in what the boy's response may be. Books were right up his alley, so he hoped that he would be able to recognize the answer. -
Yea yea yea :) also I'm so tired wtf
Blue smiled a bit at the boy's answer. "I love that book! The classics are the best! As for my favorite.." He gnawed his lip in thought. The blond boy didn't respond for a good few minutes. His eyes brightened and he looked up, though. He found a response. "Probably Lolita, if you've heard of it. If not, I also like Bertram Cope's Year, How To Kill a Mockingbird and the The Perks of Being a Wallflower."
Yes, it was certain that Blue rather enjoyed reading. Being such a computer geek, reading was quite vital. He remembered when he was younger he would read all the books he could get his hands on, as he didn't really know how to use the internet yet. When he hit his preteen year, though, he found himself picking up many books on computers, coding and CGI. He introduced himself to basic animation and coding. Now, he was quite skilled and it and was a novice hacker. Or, if you will, "hacktivist", as he used his skills to stand up for the things he believed in.
After getting lost in his thoughts, he found himself asking another question. It was kind of self centered, but he disregarded that. "What's your favorite thing about me, Liam?" -
yo i feel youuuuu
Liam clapped his hands appreciatively in response to the boy's answers. He, personally, had read Lolita and was not too much invested in the plot line that made it the classic that it was. However, he was able to admit that it was a brilliantly constructed book that deserved the credit it was given by both old and modern critics. It was intriguing to hear Blue speak of his favorite things as many of them were not was Liam had been expecting. The novels, for example, he had assumed were going to be off-the-wall titles produced by unheard of authors in teeny tiny countries that were hardly marked on maps. Though those were typically decent at minimum status, he was thankful he recognized most of the titles presented to him at that moment.
His Uncle Peter appeared in his mind once again, someone he had worked so hard to suppress throughout the day. The extensive amount of literature he had taken to reading was astronomical, which was partly the reason for Liam's loving words so fondly. He found it to be another way of connected with his Uncle, even if he was not present on the Earth anymore. He grinned slightly at the thought, turning his attention to Blue's newest question upon hearing it. He pursed his lips, his eyes searching the notepad as if it would offer an answer. After a bit, he brought the pen back down, writing speedily.
My favorite part about you is tied. I like your kindness. You do not seem to judge and you make an outward effort to help other. That is very admirable and easy to like, however. But I also like your willingness to show your emotions. You let people see who you are, from what I've seen, anyway. That is just as admirable as your kindness. He decided not to return the question, a bit afraid of what the answer might be. -
I'm eating potatoes in bed with my mom watching fear and loathing in Las Vegas
Blue knew that Liam didn't ask what his favorite part of him was. However, it seemed due to respond. "Liam. My favorite part of you is your supportiveness and ability to keep a cool head in stressful times. You're also not judgmental, which I like. And you're not afraid to be who you are. There's so much I admire about you it's crazy."
Once more, Blue kissed the cheek of the other male. He pulled away, squirming and apologizing. "Sorry I'm very bad at holding in my emotions.." He apologized. However, he rolled his eyes at his own remark and bit his tongue. On an impulse, he pecked Liam's lips before asking another question.
"Your favorite show?" He gave a small smile. -
i've heard of that but never watched it!! is it good?
Liam peered at him with interest as he spoke, his head cocked like an owl in anticipation of prey. He smiled upon hearing the remark, thanking him silently. He could feel his cheeks beginning to burn as though he had been plagued by a terrible case of sunburn, his eyebrow raising subconsciously. It was certainly a new experience for the smaller male to be complimented and shown as much attention as Blue was offering. It presented a whole new host of emotions that Liam was not familiar with, something he would have to learn to live with if he wished to continue associating with Blue.
He touched the spot on his cheek that Blue had decided to kiss, smiling once again. Smiling had become a very common thing for him. It was a simple way to express whether or not he took a liking to an action. Easy communication was now a must, especially if he were to become more deeply involved with his new partner. His cheeks burned even more, but he tried to avoid that by answering the newest question.
The Real O'Neals. He assumed that this would be where he was poked fun at, the show being based around a Catholic family with a flamboyantly gay son, a not-so-charitable daughter, another son with hints of an eating disorder, a rather lovable father, and a devout religious freak of a mother. In order to pull the attention away from the program, he pointed to Blue. -
Idk it wouldn't load and my mom's waiting for it to load by watching Dexter
Blue smirked a little at Liam's favorite show. His own favorite show followed a rather similar plot. "Shameless." He said, simply. The showtime show revolved around a rather dysfunctional family in south side Chicago. The father was a drunk and the mother had left. The oldest daughter had many guys over and often took care of the family. The oldest son was a 4.0 student. The second oldest son was gay and bipolar. The youngest daughter was a whore and a thief. The next son was a gangster and the youngest son was black despite having two white parents.
The show was a ridiculous black comedy that unraveled some pretty insane drama. But that's why Blue liked it. Not only was it funny, it showed that you really could find love in your family even in the darkest and hardest of times.
Again, he took a bit before finding a new question. Once he did, he tapped his own lips a few times before slipping his hand into Liam's non dominant one. "What's your favorite vacation spot or where would you like to go on vacation?" -
( wolfy? )
-
MAN let me know how it is
(as you can see i'm kind of still responding and such :///)
Liam recognized the program, one that he had meant to watch but had never taken the time to. He peered to Blue, nodding in complete understanding of the show. Knowing that it was the boy's favorite made him wish to watch it even more intensely. He sighed happily when Blue took his hand. His own was obviously a bit less scaled in size, but he did not let that bother him. Instead, he locked their fingers together, finding that to be much more satisfying than simply holding hands. The pink tone was spreading to his ears at this point, but his deep breaths were aiding it in calming.
Upon being prompted to answer the next question, he tapped his chin in a whimsical wonder. Because he had hardly taken vacations, rather moving around a bit, he only knew of locations that he would prefer to visit. He had a staring contest with the wall as he scurried to make a decision. At last, as if God had blessed him with a single location, he left hand scribbled down his response.
I really want to go to Montana or Jamaica. I hear they both have crazy beautiful features, even though they're really different. I also want to see the animals they have in both places. That is what really interests me. He pulled the signature point, waiting patiently for the next set of question and answer. -
Lmao I fell asleep hardcore oml
Blue nodded at the response Liam had given. "Yes, those are very nice places to visit I hear. Jamaica is sort of expensive though, I hear. As for I, I'd like to visit France. Even though I don't speak French, I'd love to learn. My sister speaks it, perhaps she can teach me. Also I hear it's a very interesting and beautiful place to visit."
He gnawed on his lip for a few moments while thinking about the next question that he could ask. His mind was full of lots of other thoughts, so it wasn't exactly easy to pull just one thought out of the clutter. It was like- as the old saying goes- finding a needle in a haystack. Or perhaps finding a piece of hay in a needle stack. That seemed way more appropriate- and way more painful.
Finally, Blue somehow managed to pull a singular question from all of the questions that Blue desired to know about the smaller boy. It took him a few moments to register what he was about to say, but eventually his voice cooperated. His voice broke a few times during his speaking, which made him turn bright red with embarrassment and think he 'Wow, puberty is super great, right?'
"What do you struggle most with on a daily basis?"
The question was pretty open ended, but he found it redundant to ask Liam. Of course Liam would say that his inability to speak was his biggest daily struggle, right? That only made sense. However, perhaps Liam would surprise the blond boy. But maybe not. -
both you muthaf---as replied all around the same time xD
As the words pertaining to France met his ears, he found his mind drifting off to think of their accents. He'd heard the accents on the television numerous times, and always believed that if he could speak, the first thing would after the initial excitement was imitate a Frenchman. The boy found the culture and language to be appealing, but he would not want to visit France in itself. The news offered insight into the acts of terrorism in the country. Due to this, he was convinced he would not feel safe for even just a second.
The boy listened to the question, his stomach sinking upon hearing it in its entirety. There were a total of three things that typically attempted to ruin his day, all of which he usually pushed to the back of his brain in order to make his day as positive as possible. He disliked allowing the negative to take over. In the event that it ever did, it was almost like a loss in the life of Liam.
Regardless of the fact that he wanted to stay as vivacious and upbeat as his environment would allow, he knew he had to make a decision. He leaned forward, his handwriting becoming a bit sloppy towards the end of the note. When he was finished, he leered down at his statement, his eyes flicking back and forth over his letters. He wished he hadn't written it as it truly caused him to sound selfish. Or maybe it was only because he was in the company of Blue, and making his own personal battles feel known only seemed a bit unfair.
Jealousy, I think. Most of the time, things are good. But every once in a while, I just get a little upset that everyone around me can have an in-depth conversation and I can't join in. I mean, I could, but conversation with others is only nice if I write at the same pace as talking, and that isn't possible. And I get a little jealous in general because most of the time, if you can talk, people don't assume you're stupid.
He looked to Blue, raising his eyebrows in anticipation of the other boy's response. -
Ewps
Also what grade they in
Blue nodded at the response. Although it was much more in depth than he was looking for, it truly gave him an insight as to how the other boy's mind worked. That made him happy. After all, he was a fan of computers and fixing things- meaning he liked to know how to work things and how things work.
It took Blue a few moments to formulate a response. Obviously, there were a lot of things that Blue struggled with on a day to day basis. However, finding his true issue wasn't as easy as it seemed. Once it dawned on him, though, he focused in on the thought and spoke slowly, gnawing his lips when he found himself pausing from speech.
"Me? Well.. I'm too self centered," He used his free hand to twirl his hair around his finger, gently moving his thumb across the palm of Liam. "I don't think about others enough. I think about my emotions, my issues, my thoughts, why I'm unhappy, what makes me unhappy. But I don't think enough about others. I get so caught up in myself that I can't see that others care or when others are struggling." He frowned a bit, full on biting his lip.
The next question came quickly and without effort. It was much more upbeat, as well. He spoke somewhat quickly, but tried to slow his words down so they were understandable. "What should I know to do in order to make you happy?" He tilted his head, an action he had noticed that the speechless boy did quite often as a result of not being able to verbally communicate. -
"ewps" i snorted
well they're both sixteen and it's rather early in the year so i'd say JUNIORS
Hearing Blue's answer perplexed Liam to a degree. The other male obviously had some level of care for others, or else he never would have taken the time to stand up for him on the previous day. It was engrossing to believe that Blue found that to be his largest daily struggle, but he didn't dare question it. He let the comment be, setting it aside for a different day's conversation, where he would sure to go more in depth. Maybe, if he waited long enough, he would be able to determine if Blue had improved between that day and whenever else he would ask the question.
It warmed his heart to think that Blue would improve over time. If the proper help was offered, it would only be right that the other see some kind of opportunity to feel even just a bit better. It would something Liam praised and showcased for the other so he knew just how proud he was. Whenever that may happen, he was unconfident, but he was convinced that it would.
He tapped his chin upon hearing the latest query, his eyes casting themselves upon the notepad as his brain feverishly sought to find an answer. Many things owned the capability of bringing a grin to his facial features, so picking out only one was an arduous task. He let out an exasperated puff of air, still very uncertain what he wished to provide as his response. Eventually, however, after many grueling battles in his head, he hurried to write.
All you have to know is that it's very easy to make me laugh because I find a lot of things funny. And also I'm pretty ticklish if nothing else works. In general, though, if you're nice to me, I'm pretty happy.
But it's really important for me to know about what would help to make YOU happy, Blue. -
That's what I thought
Blue nodded at the boy's response. It was simple and made sense. However, it was much less in depth than the response to the last question. As for himself, he was really unsure about how to go about answering the question.
"Hold on I have to think~" Blue hummed. His dark indigo eyes scanned the room, staring at the wall as he searched for an appropriate answer. When he couldn't really find one, an internal war commenced.
Blue didn't really know if he'd ever been happy apart from when he was a kid. But perhaps even then it was merely a result of blissful ignorance, not true happiness. He never truly received the attention and support that he craved so badly. So, from this, he began to formulate a response. His eyes wavered back to meet Liam's crystal globes and he began to speak.
"Well. Please know that I crave a lot of attention, support and human contact. I will be put in a better mood even if I've hit rock bottom if you give me those three things. If you don't, I understand, but I'll become disappointed in things and it won't help my mood at all."
