You're right that is a very strong c word
Blue nodded, "Of course I am." Okay, he want okay, per say, but he would go so far to say he was "fine". His anxiety, admittedly, was at an all time high. With both his brother and sister on similar missions, he hoped they would come back with good news. He stretched out his legs, yawning quietly. Blue was awfully tired, and was quite ready to sleep, indeed. He did know, however, he wouldn't be sleeping much until it was time for his EEG, which they were likely preparing as he thought of so. The MRI and CT scan would likely be endured quite soon, just to ensure the boy didn't have any major signs of brain damage or worsening depression. He was nervous. Although he felt fine, brain damage wasn't always that obvious. Luckily, he had gotten the awkward questions out of the way once he had arrived to the hospital.
It endured in his mind he might not go to school tomorrow. 'No. No, no, no, no.' He thought. He didn't want to spend days in the hospital, as he had the times he had attempted this before. He felt his phone weighing in his pocket. He pulled it out, texting his friends, in a group chat, "If I'm not here for tomorrow, or the next few days, take care of Liam. He'd be an easy target for.. Them." He knew they were aware exactly of who he was talking about. The bullies whom had given them all s--- at one point or another. -
very strong
Liam smiled. He scribble down in the notebook, o you mind if I lay down at the end of the bed or something? Long day. If not, I can just go back to the chair. No big deal. :) He folded his hands directly after setting the spiral near the other boy. He also nearly question who he was speaking with, but he refrained. He did not want to come off as strange, one of his top issues since meeting the several new individuals. It was terrifying to think that people would put him to he side because he was a little different.
He wondered if that's how it was with his uncle. What if his hallucinations and perpetual paranoia was the final argument for whatever friend he could have possibly made? What if the nervous, shy way he carried himself was the reason that the only people he could talk to were his closest relatives and wife? What if he committed suicide purely due to the loneliness he felt from being cut off from the outdoor world?
What if his uncle told him the reason why in the things that he would be receiving soon? It would provide a sense of conclusion and acceptance that Liam wasn't sure he would find otherwise. He wanted to know what drove the man to do what he did, why he didn't feel like there was anybody or anything out there in the world for him. It dumbfounded him on most occasions. With Blue, at least he was aware of the facts and reasons behind what he was truly feeling. With his family member, he was in the dark. -
Ye, ye
Blue nodded, "Yeah, of course you can." He laid in the fetal position, to give Liam some room. He was forced to deal with the fact no matter how tired he was, he wasn't going to be able to sleep. The glaring lights prohibited that. However, he was so exhausted he could nearly deal with it. The melatonin in his brain was on overdrive. Time to sleep, Blue. You're very tired. Close your eyes and..
Just like that. The blond haired boy was fast asleep. It was a little impolite, to fall asleep in front of someone you just met, and maybe a little unsafe. Blue was bothered with neither of such things. Instead, he just saw the necessity to close his mind down for a while, without a worry or care in the world. Blue snored quietly in his sleep- this snoring was just more like quiet breathing. Inhale, exhale. Inhale, exhale.
In about a half an hour, Blue was awoke to a loud, stern voice that was spoken right in his face. "Blue. Blue." His eyes slowly opened, and he found Doctor talks-a-lot was in the room once again. "Your MRI is due now." He groaned quietly and weakly. -
tsk tsk
By this time, Liam and Paxton had already been ordered out of the room. He'd run off, wandering all around to find the visitor waiting room. His footsteps were heavy. He was tired, he needed to sleep, he needed to cry, and he neededto go home. However, in order to maintain the forming of the bond between both he and Blue, he stayed so as to show him he cared. As he strolled down the various halls, he spotted a person in navy clothing out of his peripheral vision. His heart pounded in his chest, threatening to jump right out of it. Soon, this individual grabbed his arm, forcing him to a stop.
"You lost, kid?" Liam's eyes met the man's, his eyebrows curling downwards painfully. He very slowly nodded, taking a step back and shaking his arm free from the man. The other, a heavy set, brawny Caucasian, crossed his arms, rolling his neck suspiciously. The teen picked Paxton up in order to console himself and his fright.
"Where ya headin'?" Liam opened his mouth, pointed and shook his head sadly. The other gasped, apologizing a few times.
"I'm so sorry, kid! Let me guess, a room?"
"No," Liam mouthed.
"Waiting room for this floor?" The teen excitedly bounced, nodding viciously. The other chuckled, leading him off and into a nearby area. Nobody else was in the room. He silently thanked the helpful man, settling himself in a large, leather chair in the corner of the room. Paxton settled himself next to his owner, cuddling up to him and whining slightly. Liam pet him, trying to guess how long the test or tests would take. He peered down at the floor, convincing himself that it was for good that he was staying. It showed he was a good friend. -
Ugh I is bored and i is tired
Blue was quickly cleaned up for the MRI machine. He practically cringed at the sight of it- just one glass door away. He ushered into the room by a doctor, a new one. This one probably majored in neurosciences. She was of the Asian origin, and had long, silky black hair. She was very sweet in talking to him kindly and telling him what they were going to do. He laid in the machine, feeling his heart begin to race. She left as the board that he was under slid up, and the machine began taking pictures of his brain. He did the best he could to block the loud sound out, but there was no point. He squeezed his eyes shut, knowing that this test was quite short and most had no problems with it. Blue had always gotten anxious, but never said anything about it. His breathing sped up with his heart rate. However, he, as always, sad nothing about it.
A little while later, the machine slid out. And Blue glanced into the room. Ah, he had lived. "Alright," the Asian girl said, "You did very well. We will examine the tests now and give you the results later. You'll take your EEG later too, but that will be at around eight or nine." She informed him, "You can go back to your room now. The door is that way." She pointed to the door, and Blue stumbled towards it, still feeling a bit anxious. -
go sleepies x)
Throughout the period in which he sat snuggled with Paxton, he'd allowed a few tears to run down his face. He was exasperated with himself for doing so. He had told himself to wait as he was at the hospital for reasons pertaining to Blue. It would be completely selfish to be upset in his presence. His hands reach up to his face and wiped the early waterworks. The fact of his mother was also an issue. He feared that she would scold him for being picked up early on his first day at his new school. She wasn't exactly a martinet, but she had ways about her that showed a disciplinarian lifestyle. He didn't usually mind. She was strict in an endearing way, he thought. He folded his arms, making sure he was completely back to normal before going off to search for Blue's room with his puppy friend.
He traced back his steps, weaving in and out of hallways and looking at nearly every single room plate until he could find the one he needed. He wasn't sure if anybody was inside yet, so he stood there, hoping that somebody would come to the room eventually. He felt like he was being rude by knocking on the door. The doctor or nurse could be exchanging words with the other boy. Nobody may have been in there. He deemed standing there the best course of action and did so, his big eyes glancing every which way.
Paxton let out a tink ruff, laying on his back at his owner's feet. -
Hah never that's a funny concept
Also Liam breaks my heart omg
Blue found himself lost quite easily. One minute, he was on the right trail. Right? The next, he was completely lost. Frustrated, he eventually found his way to the room, finding his friend was already waiting outside. He gently wrapped his arm around the boy's back as he walked in, gently tugging Liam along with him. He couldn't be more sorry for dragging the boy along with him. He felt quite selfish. He was quite selfish. That fact began to sink in his mind. He realized acceptance of himself would soon sink in, a blessing. And he couldn't wait.
I am gay. I am selfish. I am depressed. I'm a hypersomniac. I'm gay. I'm selfish. I'm depressed. I am a hypersomniac. These thoughts ran over and over in Blue's mind, slowly being processed. The first was the hardest to swallow. It was the hardest to accept because he hardly believed it himself. The second and third weren't a shocker. The final he had been told all of his life. And yet, he still struggled to accept these.
He kept his arm around the mute boy, keeping him close. It comforted Blue to have him there. He hoped he was comforting Liam as well. It was also quite a cutesy, compassionate thing to do, and he wanted to come off stable. Erm, as stable as someone who had attempted suicide that morning could seem. -
omg xD
So does blue yeah xD
But
blue is a cutie aweeeeee stop
Liam's breath was stolen away from him for a few seconds as his stomach informed him of breaking news. He definitely, totally, completely had fallen for the other male in the course of a day. Love like the kind his father had experiences twenty five years prior were incredibly, honestly possible. He was nervous, petrified even that everything had crashed into him so easily. It was confusing, but enticing and beautiful at the same time. What the other boy had done by pulling him in only amplified those extreme feelings, making him almost weak with pure excitement.
It was calming, and for a moment, just one moment, nothing else mattered. Marina was only a female that had not been capable of maintaining the friendship with himself after a small mistake. His uncle was only a tragedy that he would have to forget or suppress sooner or later. The upset over judgementals and others would soon dissipate. None of it meant a single thing. But only for a moment would it stay like that.
Liam found himself latching onto the other in a powerful hug. He'd probably overstepped any boundaries set by both boys. He probably was making Blue uncomfortable and even a little freaked out. But he wanted, maybe even needed, that hug. And so that's exactly what he did - hugged him. -
Sowwy if I respond slowly my phone is dying and I'm playing monopoly)
Blue found himself hugging other close. He clutched onto the other boy's clothing securely, not wanting to ever let go. The anxiety and stress of the day was really getting to the teenager, and he had just wanted to go home again. A few steaming hot tears rolled down his face in fear and pathetic pain. Blue couldn't help but keep his arms latched securely around the other male, his chin on the shorter male's shoulder.
It was bizarre. Incredibly bizarre how this had all worked out. It went from a fifth grade crush, to a possible love connection, to whatever this necessity was. All he knew that it was indeed a necessity. Blue needed this. Liam needed this. Without it, they were shattered. Whatever had caused Liam to be so emotionally distraught- he didn't know. He just knew he had to console him as he mended himself back together as well.
And as he dazed off, tightly shutting his eyes, he imagined something. It was a great fragment of imagination, and consoled him. He imagined a day in life where they were both okay. They were in the same world, but we're both transformed. They were happy, laughing amongst each other and telling stories from their childhood. Oh, what sweet honey of an idea that was. -
Gah sorry I went to sleep around the same time
He stood there, breathing in Blue's scent so that he'd remember it. Only after afew seconds did he hold on a little tighter, nuzzling against the other boy like Paxton had done so many times. He felt silly, comparing the same feeling from a dog to the fiery emotion he was experiencing in the embrace of the other. Maybe it was too fast, maybe it was all too fast. He wanted to slap himself. The speed that one fell in love didn't matter. The fact that two people could find such a strong connection in such a short period of time screamed 'miracle'. He, over the time being aware of what love was, never even expecteda passing glance, and yet here he was.
Paxton was distressed, to say the least. He was not sure how to react to his owner being held by this other human being. He could sense the stress bleeding from Liam, and so that made him think that something was wrong. He jumped up against their legs, pawing at each one to gain attention from the pair. Liam avoided this at all costs. Just a little longer, he wanted to stay there. It felt like all of his fears were gone. He didn't want to leave that just yet. Not at all, really, but he knew that Blue or himself would eventually have to.
But it would have been nice to stay there forever, swimming in the beautiful feeling he was getting from the other. He pulled back after a minute or so, staring into the eyes of the other and mouthing, 'Thank you.' -
Is good
Blue never wanted to pull away, but he had a constant worry if this kept up any longer it wouldn't be enjoyable, but awkward instead. For that reason, he was quite grateful when the other boy pulled away. He nodded, his face a bright pink. He went back to the hospital bed, hating how uncomfortable the bed was. It was like a bed of boards nailed together with a sheet over it and called a "bed". This was not a bed, this was a torture device.
He sat on the "bed" and glanced around the room. The time was 4:30, later than he had thought. He looked to Liam, a solemn expression on his face. "You have to leave soon, right?" He asked, tilting his head. He was kind of shocked he was still here at all- Hospitals were boring, they were disturbing. The waiting time took forever. Hearing someone choke on their nosebleed in the next room would disturb without even attempting. The smells of over-sanitation would make anyone nervous, especially someone like Blue- someone naturally anxious, naturally on edge. However, Blue was grateful to have a friend like Liam here with him. He couldn't imagine going through his alone- like he had so many times. Of course, Blue had his siblings, but they spent a good amount of time out of the room, talking to doctors and nurses to get back with him with news. He felt bad for them, in a way. Always having to take care of the middle child, always having to support the damage one.
Just then, he got a text message, that explained his inquiry from earlier. It was Rose. Yeah, sure, I'll look after him. Also I left earlier because I had to go and think about the situation. I'm sorry Blue, this is really hard for me. Love always, Rose. He smiled, Rose was like his sister in so many ways. He glanced back up to Liam, then continuing to say, "That was Rose. I might not be able to leave tomorrow, or even in a few days. She said she'd look after you, if worse comes to worse." -
dokay x)
The wispy haired boy pulled Paxton up from the floor, rubbing him in the space between his ears. He sat at the end of the bed once more, nodding sadly. He would have loved to stay with Blue the entire time, to keep him safe and sound in the hospital. His head went down the list of things that could possibly happen to the other, but he pushed those away, not wishing to cause himself more emotional stress. He held Paxton close to his chest, patting his back gently to allow him to become aware of the fact that everything was completely alright.
He listened intently to the statement that Blue had presented, and he shrugged, eventually nodding once again. It was sweet, in his opinion, that Blue's friends were so willing to look after him and make sure he was okay when it was the other boy they should be worried about. He wondered how school would be. He'd enjoyed his first day, for the most part, but he worried how different things would be without the other male by his side. Would the group find him when he had no one there to protect him? Would he get lost even with Rose with him at some points throughout the day?
He let his mind wander to better things, like what his mother was doing. She worked in the small scale fashion industry. She must have been called in to deliberate which fabric or design would be the best for the job at hand. He always respected what his mother did for a living. Though other may look at it strangely, she was a composed businesswoman that was required to attend meetings pertaining to the variety of boutiques in various places. He was surprised that she'd managed to find a group so quickly after the move from Montana.
As he wasn't sure what else to say or do, he simply sat there with Paxton, his eyes looking to Blue. -
Ye ye so wazzup
Blue sighed quietly, glancing back to Liam without saying a word. He flashed a small smile, though, to tell the other he wasn't completely idle or uninterested. The boy got out his phone, holding it in his hand and quietly updating his facebook status to "In the hospital" without saying much more. He then scrolled through a bit more, before putting the phone to sleep and putting it between his thighs.
After doing so, he glanced back to Liam, coughing a few times. "I'm really dehydrated." He said, before calling a nurse over and asking for a bottle of water. He was also starving- He hadn't eaten since lunch, and it then occurred to him how hungry the other boy must be. "You must be starving. Want to go to the cafe for a quick snack? I have an account set up here, I'll just put it on my charge and pay it later." Blue offered this for a multitude of reasons. The first being the previously stated, the other was probably quite hungry. The second being he was tired of being in the hospital room, he was becoming quite claustrophobic. The third reason being he wanted to spend some more time with Liam that wasn't in the depressing, heavy air of a hospital room. The cafe was nice, designed for exactly that. Escape from the dreary setting inside the hospital doors.
Blue, in fact, would do anything to get out of the room. The man next door was moaning loudly, and apparently had a burn on a certain area of his body- How did he get that there? Regardless, it was disturbing, and not something he wanted to listen to anymore, anyways. The nurses were all rushing to the man next door, leaving himself and Liam alone in the area- meaning the doctor wouldn't come for a while anyways. It was the perfect opportunity. -
at me grandparents
you?
Liam eyes lit up. Along with exhaustion came hunger. He pulled a thumbs up out of nowhere, thrusting it into the air to show that he wanted to go. He felt bad about Blue having to pay, however, and so he assumed that he would be able to pay him back at a later time. Paxton was wagging his tail ferociously, yet his body remained still against his owner. He must have noticed the change in the boy's demeanor and was glad that he was feeling better. He gave a single lick to the arm that was linked around him.
The only thing that bothered Liam was that he was running out of time. He would have to leave in only a matter of a short time. It was sad to think about leaving the lovely individual all alone, but he shrugged it off. He knew he would see him again soon. Worrying about it would only make him more upset when he got home.
The mention if the snack only made him realize how much his stomach was begging for food. The salad had been filling at lunch time, but since then, he'd become ravenous, much like a shark after a day. He nearly laughed at the stupid comparison he'd made. He itched Paxton's back, keeping him calm so as to keep everything level for Blue. He didn't wish to freak him out by growing so crazed over food. -
Working on some "art" which is really hard to do in the car
It's a sketch and I has no eraser atm so it's guidelines everywhere
Blue nodded, grabbing the other boy's hand and taking him to the cafe. He did this with an extreme lack of thought, but he had wanted to get out of there. And he wants out quickly. He walked down the hall, glancing at his black dress shoes he was wearing as they tapped the lenolium flooring. He could see the individual sheets which were laid down with myraid amounts of money and care. He couldn't imagine how much the large, high tech hospital took to build, or even to upkeep. Taxpayer dollars, he supposed. Well, that's probably the best place the public's money was going, anyways.
Shrugging off the thought, he walked into the cafe with Liam by his side. It was green bricks with orange tables, some were booths and others actual tables. Blue liked the urban look of it, it was cleanly kept up and sweet to the eye. He glanced over to the glass cases where the food was on display, and the chalkboard signs with the menu scribbled into them. Blue wasn't very familiar with the menu or the people here, so he found himself awkwardly standing in the entrance of the almost-empty cafe for a moment. This was until he turned to Liam, "Shall we find somewhere to sit? Table or booth?" Blue preferred a booth, but he wanted to see what Liam desired as well.
