Lovino stiffened slightly, suddenly anxious. Going home wouldn't be half as exciting if it meant he wouldn't be able to see Antonio anymore. He was sure they'd meet up again soon, they still had to figure out how to approach Francis and Gilbert, but still...No one to hold him through the pain, no one to hush Feli when his yelling made Lovino nervous, no one to whisper softly in Spanish when he had nightmares... He curled around Antonio, now quite miserable. "...Whatever, i-idiota," he muttered, trying to sound irritated rather than upset. -

Antonio stiffened at the reaction from Lovino, his smile fading. "Lovino..." His brows furrowed, looking down at Lovino with some concern. He wrapped his arms around Lovino, holding his tightly. "I don't want to fall asleep on your couch for the third time, tonto. I'm probably just going to take some medicine and fall asleep, so it's not like you'll miss much." He sighed, closing his eyes for a moment. "You can come to my house if you want, but your abuelo will probably have to okay it, first, huh? And like I said, I'll probably just take a nap..." He pressed a kiss firmly to Lovino's forehead. "I don't want to overstay my welcome with your family, either. I think my mom wants to meet you, anyways." -

Lovino scoffed, looking indifferent, though his iron grip around Antonio's waist spoke, differently, hands curled tightly in the back of his shirt. "Are you kidding? My nonno loves you, you keep me out of his way and you, um, t-take care of me, so he doesn't have to deal with making sure I'm still kicking." He explained quietly, tentatively looking up at him. "...You, um, you wouldn't, uh- f---, can I go with you? Like I said, I'd just be trouble for Nonno, and...wait, does your mom know that we're...?" -

Antonio's concerned look didn't fade when Lovino started rambling, but at his question it did fall, and he nodded. "Of course you can come with me, idiota," He murmured, poking him gently in the chest. "You still have to tell your abuelo, though. He might not love me so much if you just disappear to my house with no warning." He sighed, his lips pressing into a tight line. "And, yeah, my brother told her the second time I was in the hospital. She hasn't talked about it with me, but I don't think she cares that much. She just asked if she could meet you." -

Lovino groaned, but he knew he was right. Roma may not have been the most affectionate towards his older grandson, but he wouldn't like him disappearing either. Lovino sighed, hugging him a little tighter. "...That was kind of a dick move on your brother's part." He said after a moment, hoping Antonio's mother wouldn't be too picky. He had a tendency to make bad first impressions. He lay there for a moment more, before Roma and Feli entered the room, the latter rambling on about how nice it was to see Lovino without so many tubes and monitors attached to him. Lovino quickly sat up, blushing madly but relieved that they could go now. -

Antonio shrugged. "It's natural for her to ask why the visitor has been the same boy for several days, I think. I'm not too bothered by it anymore." When Feli and Lovino's grandfather came in, the tentative peace was broken by Feliciano's loud, if happy, chattering. Lovino's grandfather was eyeing Antonio's position in the bed with some mixture of curiosity and intrigue, although he didn't seem upset. Antonio pulled himself up to be sitting as well, glad that they'd get to leave now. Although it might be awkward when Mr. Vargas would be asked if his recently released grandson could go to Antonio's house instead of his own. -

Lovino eyed his grandfather warily, praying that he wouldn't say something belittling and embarrass him in front of Antonio. Luckily, he kept quiet. "Grandpa, I'm going over to Antonio's house to sort out everything we've got against Francis and Gilbert. I'll call you when we need the police, they'll listen to you." Lovino may have been lying, but no way in hell was he going to ask to go spend time with his boyfriend. Roma thought for a moment, then nodded. "Fine with me. I've signed the papers, you're free to go. Don't get hurt again." He shifted his gaze to Antonio. "Take care of him. He likes to think he's tough, but he's always been pretty easily breakable, so be careful. My hospital visit limit per month is three." Lovino turned crimson, glaring furiously as he departed, Feliciano skipping obediently after him. -

Antonio bit his lip to keep from laughing, glancing at Lovino's furiously red face as his family left. "You heard him," He teased, leaning over to peck him on the cheek one more time before sliding out of the bed, going around to grab his jacket and the one that Lovino had had when he arrived. "That means you've got just one more visit, tonto. No more life or death situations for now, huh." He waited for Lovino to get up as well, holding out the jacket for him to put it on and nodding towards the door. "The car I drove us here in should still be parked where I left it. We can go straight back to my house." -
ahh sorry omg I just accidentally fell and cut my ankle and it took me forever to find a band-aid jfc

Lovino scowled. "I hate him. I'm not weak! He gets some sort of sadistic pleasure out of upsetting me." He huffed, before pushing himself to his feet, standing for the first time in nearly a week. He sucked in a breath, legs shaking slightly, but he managed to stumble over to Antonio, wheezing a small thanks as he slipped the jacket on. Free, he was free! He smiled for a brief second, biting his lip before Antonio could see and make a big deal out of it.
we'll say he changed into regular clothes at some point -

Antonio raised an eyebrow. "I seriously doubt that's what's happening, but I, for one, don't think you're weak at all." He smiled gently, grabbing his hand when he noticed how unsteady he was. "I don't think you really hate him, either, but I see how it's frustrating." He caught a small smile on Lovino's face but decided not to comment, instead biting back crooked grin of his own as he tugged Lovino's hand softly, pulling him out of the room and towards the exit, waving to the nurse waiting outside. -

Lovino's face burned, it was hard to prove that he was strong when he had to attach himself to Antonio's arm just to stay upright. "It is. It's f---ing annoying as hell, and I can't do anything about it." He complained with a small frown, shuffling along next to him, silently thankful that it smelled less like chemicals out in the main lobby. -

Antonio nodded absently, admittedly only half listening as he led Lovino out of the hospital and out to the car. He opened the door for Lovino before shuffling over to the other side and sliding in, thinking that it was nice for once that they were driving away from the hospital and not towards it. "It's something you'll have to live with, I suppose." He murmured, starting the car. -
