Who did the human think he was? In any other setting, she would've been his superior, and then some. Sure, they were both technically the same age, but she was older than he could ever dream of being. As soon as class was over, she'd talk to the teacher about changing partners, with or without him. The only thing they could agree on was that they would never agree. And it made her want to scream.
-
He stormed out of the classroom, not wanting to deal with her again during the day. He had only a few more classes and then his night would be over with, which meant he didn't have to deal with her until the next night. He was pissed that she probably cost his chance of even excelling in that class and it was all. her. fault.
-
She hurried up to the front of the room, trying to catch the teacher before she left. "Ms. Price! Wait! I needed to talk to you about my partner. We're just... we're not a good fit. Is it too late to change partners?"
The teacher laughed. Nora hated when they acted like this, especially the Purebloods. They still viewed her as a child, didn't they? She'd seen revolts rise and fall, she'd experienced historical events that now, historians still struggled to completely understand. She wasn't a kid. "Don't worry, Miss Fitzgerald. You and Mr. Baker will do fine. In fact, I based my pairings on your files, so you two should be getting along. I'm sure you will eventually."
She didn't have much time to consider the way in which they'd been paired. She had to hurry off to her ceramics class. -
Alex spent his next hour in a foods class, preparing a small dessert and a few other baked goods. He enjoyed this class immensely, he could make anything he wanted in the amount of time given to him and not have to be bothered. He almost forgot about his last our with Eleanor, which was a good thing, a really good thing.
-
(We're gonna need to do more time skipping later)
Ceramics was enjoyable. Each of the Bitten was allowed to take an elective class, even though most of them were working in research. She'd taken the class before, and knew she was awful at it. Did that stop her? Of course not.
She was so distracted by making another piece of ugly pottery that she forgot about the previous class. -
Okay~)
After his classes were over he had finally started walking to his dorm room. He smiled as he walked, humming lightly as he held onto a bag of cookies that he made in class. He was glad his mind was off of Eleanor and he chuckled lightly, hoping she wouldn't be that rude next time, but then again he hoped hewasn't paired up with her again. -
After finishing her research for the day, she returned to the dorms. She wasn't much closer to discovering anything, but many of their discoveries had taken human lifetimes to uncover. She headed to the kitchen, hoping to be luckier with human food than she was earlier.
-
Alex was already in the kitchen, marking his container of cookies that he had on him and placing them in the cabinet above him. He sighed lightly and leaned back against the counter, rubbing his temples. His head was hurting like hell, but he didn't have any medicine for it so he would have to deal with it. He turned and started to leave.
-
For the second time in the semester, she ran right into him. "Watch where you're going, human," she told him, scooting past him to explore the kitchen. Could she get any peace at all? When she opened the cabinet, she saw the box of cookies, not realizing they were his.
-
He glared at her. "What the hell was..." he turned around quickly to yell at her and he frowned more. "What the hell is wrong with you? God you vampires are rude as hell!" He threw his arms up. "It's like you can't stand us even though some of you were humans before!" He didn't notice she was looking in the cabinet he placed his cookies in.
-
(I'm thinking that we should time skip a week or two? Because if we want to get anywhere past the first few days of the semester we'll need to do stuff like that. We can just say that nothing's going much better for either of them, especially in their science class?)
She opened the box, taking a cookie and biting into it. Discovering that she actually enjoyed it, she took another one and put away the box. She grabbed a bag of blood from the fridge and slipped past him, not wanting to deal with the angry boy. Nora didn't want to explain that she was being rude so he wouldn't end up as one of them. If he disliked her, good; if he disliked vampires, even better. -
(Alright so after my post then.)
He finally noticed she got into his cookies which infuriated him more, but he couldn't stop her as she left. She was so infurating he couldn't stand it, but if he got in a real fight with her he'd probably be dead. He sighed in defeat as he stalked off to his room, hoping that things would somehow get better. -
They didn't. In fact, over the next three weeks, things only got worse. Despite Alexander and Nora's constant arguing, Ms. Price refused to switch them with another group of partners. Eventually they settled into an unspoken pact to avoid one another whenever the option presented itself, an opportunity that she greatly enjoyed. She still did, every now and then, steal his food from the kitchen. Nora had to admit that he was a fantastic cook.
As February finally presented itself, the students gradually became more and more excited for one of their favorite holidays: Valentine's Day. Of course, this meant that a dance had to be planned, common rooms decorated, and crush confessions worked up to. Since the celebration was on a Saturday that year, the dance was being held that Friday night, just before daybreak. Nora woke to a loud knock on her dorm door, and was given a party reminder by an overly eager Bitten. She yawned and shut the door, turning to the bathroom for a shower. -
Over the past three weeks he and Eleanor had been at each others throats, but to tell the truth he was happy they came to a silent agreement. Of course he actually started to notice it was getting closer to Valentines day and he wasn't looking forward to it. The girls that came with him were all going after Purebloods and a few Bitten guys, which meant he was stuck dealing with Bitten or even Pureblood girls. He leaned against his wall after he answered his door earlier and a Bitten girl gave him a flyer for the dance and celebration of the holiday. He had no one to go with or even want to go with anyone. He finally got up and walked down to the kitchen, since he really didn't eat the lunches at school, but when he got there his stash of sweets were missing a few cookies and homemade chocolates were gone. At least someone was enjoying his cooking more than him.
-
After her quick shower, she got dressed and prepared to head downstairs. As she was putting on her shoes, Willow woke up. "Hey...," she said, groggily. She rolled onto her side and propped herself up to watch her roommate. "Wait... today's the dance... are you going?"
"Nope. And I don't want to third wheel with you and Jenna, so I'll be here tonight." She walked over to the door, then glanced back at her roommate in the darkness. Part of being a Bitten meant she had spectacular vision in the dark, even better than that of most Purebloods. Noticing her concerned expression, Nora shook her head. "Don't worry. I've never had any interest in going as it is."
With that, she was on her way downstairs.
