(dude if u don't go we can't rescue u heroically)
"Figures. Girls, let's go find a real guy. I guess some humans are just terrified by superior species." With that, she and her companions turned to leave. Whether the human came or not, they were going to the dance before fashionably late became considerably less fashionable. -
(I know I just felt like telling her to piss off. :3)
He finally stopped playing as the girls left. Somehow the girl got to him and made him want to go. He walked back up to his room, not bothering to take the elevator up there and looked through his things. He pulled out a dress shirt and a nice pair of slacks since he didn't really have a tux and threw them on. He then found his dress shoes and finally walked out to the somehow terrifying idea that he'd never see the room again. -
Nora's enjoyment of the night was starting to fade slightly. It was transitioning from friends to just couples, and disliking the feeling of being a third wheel, the vampire crept off to stand against the wall, a cup of punch in hand. Upon sniffing it, she discovered that someone had spiked it oh-so-slightly, but drank it anyway. It was virtually nothing, and besides, vampires had a higher alcohol tolerance than mortals. She watched students dance and chat, hidden from the soft light filling the room.
-
Alexander walked into the party and sighed lightly. He already started feeling uncomfortable being here, which again he'd never been to a party or a celebration of any kind. He walked around, avoiding most of the people that were already dancing and talking, he felt eyes on him, which was bothing enough even if half of those eyes had fangs. He bumped into a few random people and mumbled a few apologies. This really wasn't going to end well.
-
A pureblood caught Alexander's scent as he walked past. He trailed behind him, eventually spinning him around by the shoulder and give him a fake, fanged grin. Before the human could protest, he had the vampire's arm around him and was being led over to a table, where the others sat.
"Glad you decided to join the cool kids. You haven't shown up to any of my parties, am I not good enough for you?" he joked, pausing by one of the snack tables. His tone was generally friendly; he was a fantastic actor. "Hey, you've gotta be hungry. You should get something to eat before I introduce you. The girls are gonna be all over you, man. You won't be able to escape." -
He tried to get out of the male vampire's grip, a slight panic filling him. He didn't want to deal with this right now. "I-I'm not a party kinda guy, I already told you this at the beginning of school now let me go." He didn't even look at the food, he wasn't in the mood to try anything, all he wanted to do was escape and sadly that wouldn't happen. "Look could you just let me go? I just wanna be alone while I'm here."
-
"You'll like it, trust me." He practically dragged the boy over to the table, then made him sit in one of the seats. The Purebloods grinned at him, one or two giving him a tiny wave or wink. "What's your name? Xavier, right?"
Meanwhile, from across the room, the Bitten could hear almost everything. That was the one way in which the Bitten were superior to Purebloods. Incredibly enhanced senses, developed after generations of fearing instantaneous and unpredictable persecution. -
oops
*And she could tell something was wrong. She scanned the room, searching for anything that might be of her personal concern. -
He already looked nervous and panicked already, he really didn't need this. "It's Alexander now look I'm not in the mood to be around a lot of people this was a mistake." He started to get up, know that they all would probably make him sit down or even worse. He didn't want this and just hoped that he'd be bailed out or something.
-
She noticed a familiar face in the crowd. Alex? Why was he here? He didn't seem like the party type, really. And he was sitting at a table of Purebloods-- wait, some of the snobbiest Purebloods. Though her body was freezing, she felt as if her blood was boiling. She started on her way over.
"You didn't even let me introduce them to you," said the vampire, forcing the human back into his seat. "Human, meet Purebloods. Purebloods, meet our snack."
One of the girls leaned over, clearly expecting to go first. Her hunger shone in her eyes. Before she could pull him in, the leader leaned down and whispered in Alex's ear. "Look. Tonight, you're going to do what we say. And unless you want to get kicked out of the school, you're not going to tell anyone. Got it?" -
He gritted his teeth together and clenched his hands into fists, he would do something or someone would help him maybe if that was even possible. He glared at the vampire that brought him here, not in a pleasant mood for being held against his will. "Just let me go okay? You have other humans you can go after and I literally don't want to be your midnight snack."
-
The Pureblood girl stood up with him and started to pull him out to dance with her, but the two were interrupted by Nora, whose eyes glimmered with murderous intent as she approached. The Pureblood leader turned and looked at her, seemingly amused by the entire ordeal.
"Fitzgerald. I didn't realize they were asking halfies like you to chaperon. Or are you trying to take little... Alphonse, away from us? You were the only one against humans being here, you can't change your mind now."
"You know biting him is against school rules. If you did, I'd have to report you. And then, since I'd already be there, I'd have to tell the principal that your group's responsible for every 'attack' at the human boarding school, right? Would she really want to know that you're the reason we've had to invite in so many new Bitten students?"
It wasn't exactly a sick burn, but the threatening managed to hit home. Nora successfully escaped with Alexander, dragging him along behind her. -
He sighed with relief when Eleanor came and saved his ass from being sucked dry, but he let her drag him off, since he really didn't want to piss her off. Of course he was also annoyed that they kept saying his name wrong and well that's enough to make him mad. "Um...thanks for saving me...again." he tried to smile, but he was still a bit shaken up about the whole ordeal with the Purebloods. He now had an upmost distant for them.
-
"Yeah," she replied absentmindedly, letting go of him as soon as they were halfway to the dorms. She pulled up the dress a bit, hating the fact that it was strapless. If she were human, she probably would've been freezing. Besides, it was awkward around her chest, and she was eager to take it off for something more comfortable. She was about to say her goodbyes and part for the evening, when she remembered the zipper. Unlike Willow, who'd grown up with them, there was no way Nora would be able to unzip the dress on her own. "You can pay me back. For one of the times."
-
He blinked lightly. "You remind me of my little sister. She always hates wearing dresses and always has my mom get the zipper." He smiled. "Do you need help with it...?" He blushed deeply. "I'm not trying to be a creep, but at least I can pay you back for something right?" He rubbed the back of his neck nervously. "Look I'm sorry I've been a jerk and a s---ty lab partner."
