(Sure~ and he will be.)
He noticed the sun was setting and he grinned, classes would be starting soon and he didn't want to skip like most of his companions would. He stood up and dressed in the uniform that was given to him and soon was ready to leave, grabbing his schedule so he wouldn't get lost as he finally opened the door. -
The night passed quickly. While the Purebloods and humans attended their classes, Nora and the other Bitten vampires worked on their own projects. She had just been promoted in the field on linguistics research, and was now in charge of working to decode a series of fascinating artifacts. The past few hundred years had allowed her plenty of time to learn, so using other ancient tongues came naturally as she worked.
After a few hours, she took a break and headed to the two classes that she had to attend. The first was a science course, which every one of the Bitten had to retake every twenty years to learn any new material. She wasn't sure who her partner would be this semester, and she didn't notice the human from earlier, standing on the other end of the room. -
He was already looking around at the science lab with slight astonishment, the room was filled with many different things, old and new equipment was in his vacinity, but really he noticed the pictures of the students, all from different eras of time. He turned and saw the girl, slightly groaning that he had to deal with her again. He sat down a seat away from her as the other students poured in.
-
She started chatting with one of the Bitten, who happened to be sitting next to the boy. She caught a glance of him over her friend's shoulder, clearly feeling a bit uncomfortable. Especially since part of her was begging for another taste.
The teacher stood in the front of the room, brining the class to a silent state. She ran through a long, boring lecture on the expectations for the semester, then went to inform the students of their randomly selected partners. "James Marshall, Elliott Mathers. Ramona Grey, Maxima Huvud. Casper Klickitat, Dorothea Hawthorne..." The list went on for a few more pairs. Then she reached what Nora had been dreading. "Eleanora Fitzgerald, Alexander Baker."
It was nearly impossible for her to hide her disappointment. -
Alex felt like the girl was watching him a bit during class, be he looked up when he heard his name and some girl he hadn't probably met, but the he glanced at the girl, no, her name was Eleanor now, she showed a face of disappointment. He sighed lightly and shook his head, the girl would probably be the death of him or even cause him to loose focus on what he wanted to achieve here at the school. He watched as the other students moved near their partners and he decided to move one chair over after the person who had it left. He looked at her and had a slightly frown on his face. "I'm beginning to think this partnership won't last long."
-
She sighed. "I agree. Was there really not a Bitten I could've been paired with?" she asked quietly, looking around the room to check. Nope. Nobody. It was just her luck to be the odd one out, with a human that hated her. As long as he didn't prove to have any connections with a Slayer...
"So, you're Alexander? I'm Eleanora, but my friends call be Nora. Pick whichever you feel currently fits our relationship." She gave him a fanged grin which was, by no means, very friendly or welcoming. -
He nodded lightly at her, accepting that she said his name. "It's Eleanor then because I believe we are more enemies that friends." He glared at her and smirked. "You know your teeth look blood stained still. I'd close your mouth if I were you." He opened his notebook that he had brought with him and started jotting a few things down, with no interest in communicating with his new partner.
-
"They get that way after tearing open so many throats," she replied. Sure, it was a lie, but having him fear her just a little more wouldn't hurt. She got out her notebook and a pen, taking notes from the board. This was probably going to be one of the worst semesters of her life, and she'd been through quite a few.
-
He didn't take the threat very well and he kicked her leg, acting like he didn't do it a few seconds later as he still jotted things down off the board along with making doodles as the teacher wrote more onto the board. This girl was going to make his life here miserable or she even might kill him at some point.
-
The first part of class passed fairly quickly, despite the tension between the two. Eventually, the teacher moved to the section most of the class seemed to dread most: the introductory quiz. This teacher was notorious for the tests she gave at the beginning of each semester. While it was meant to determine a student's current place, it often led to her favoring certain pupils over others. This semester, she declared, it would be different. Students would take the test with their partner, as they would be responsible for helping them with everything else until the end of the year. Nora groaned. Great.
-
He glanced over the test and frowned. This would be too easy, but he had to have help from his "partner". He sighed lightly and looked at her. "Well are we gonna answer this or not speak to each other period while we both try and figure it out?" He mumbled to her, just like her not really looking forward to working together.
-
"I've taken the class ten times, you don't have to do anything if you don't want to." She reached for the paper. The blonde really wasn't looking forward to working on the test, let alone working with this boy for the rest of the semester. But they'd figure something out. Hopefully.
-
He sighed again and shook his head. "Let's just get this test over with okay?" He really, well partially wanted this partnership to actually work. He pulled out a pen and nodded at her showing that he was going to cooperate. He actually wanted this to work so he wouldn't fail this class, not like he could, but it was possible.
-
"Fine," she replied, writing their names on the top of the paper. They went through it together, discussing problems any time they came to a disagreement. They continued to butt heads throughout the quiz, causing them to be the last ones to finish. Nora settled, defeated, into her chair. He was impossible.
-
After they were the final ones to finish the test, he slumped in his chair wanting to scream. She was so impossible to work with, most of the answers they were almost at each others throats because they had different views on the answers, literally most of his answers were on the spot. He sent her a glancing glare and had a frown on his face, he'd been frowning a lot since he had met this stubborn girl.
