Alphonse looked torn. "But... it looks extremely comfortable. Why would humans do that?"
-
She saw his hurt look and felt a page of guilt. "I'm sorry..." she sighed. "Come on I'll buy the clothes you picked out." She knew she couldn't really get him a dress, but he'd have to learn.
-
Super bump for Selo~)
-
He sighed angrily and followed her to the cash register. Once they were done with the purchase, he took the bag and followed her outside.
"So..." He looked around, then turned to her. "I... I changed my mind. I don't like the name Alphonse." -
She stopped for a moment and glanced at him. "Then what name would you like?" He had seemed a bit angry at how she said he couldn't have a dress, but she'd fix that later. She waited patiently for his answer.
-
"I... I don't know, really. If it's not a problem, could you just keep calling me Blink? Make up an excuse for it." His stomach growled, and the alien realized how hungry he was. He stretched, glanced down at her, switching the bag to his other hand. "I'm hungry. Are you hungry? We should go eat somewhere."
-
She tilted her head at him curiously. "Blink...are you okay?" She partially ignored his question for the moment. "You seem twitchy at the moment." She started walking again, shopping for food would have to wait. "There's a place we could pick up some food at, it has an all meat selection so..." she started playing with the bag in her hands. "So we can eat." She glanced around and quickly saw a restaurant, hoping she was right and they hadn't changed the menu.

"I... no, it's just--" Suddenly, a tiny light on his band started flashing. "We need to head back, right now. I'll," he paused, whispering in her ear instead, "turn back. My disguise stops working when the energy runs out." Before she could protest, he was on his way back to her apartment.
-
She was about to protest, but he was already walking away. "Wait!" She ran to quickly keep up with him and soon was walking next to him. The apartment was coming up soon and looked up at him. She fumbled around her keys when the walked into the building and along with walking into the elevator. "You should have told me about your band..." she watched the lights as it counted up to her floor and the doors opened quickly. She then rushed to her door and opened it quickly, waiting for him to get in.
-
"Sorry!" He followed her for the second half of the trip back, realizing that he had no idea where they were going. He tapped his fingers against the little railing in the elevator, though they were sounding more and more like claws by the minute. When the elevator chimed out their arrival, he rushed out and down the hallway, hurrying into her apartment. Just as she shut the door, she bracelet gave a warning beep. "Just so you know, I don't speak your language, so when it turns off, we won't understand each other." He started to undress, knowing that the transformation would ruin his clothes. With that, the band shut off, forcing him to transform once again. The seven-foot tall alien stared at her apologetically.
-
She had turned away when he started stripping down, averting her eyes away because she felt it was rude to stare. When she heard him finally change back, she turned and tilted her head at him. "Sorry...I know you can't understand me, but you could have said your band would go out at a certain time." She noticed his apologetic look on his face and she smiled. "But it's fine, just a warning next time." She walked past him and sat on her couch. "Now...what to get you to eat..." she thought back to his comment on meat. She had some type of meat so maybe she could cook it...wait. what if he wanted it raw.
-
He slid the band off of his wrist and crept over to place it in the window, trying not to be seen. It was solar powered, but couldn't work at the same time it was charging. After putting it in place, Blink walked across the living room and into the kitchen, finding his host. His tail swished back and forth out of habit as he watched her. "What are you doing?" he asked. While it was a curious question, the growl it came out in made it sound angry and ferocious.
-
She jumped slightly hearing him growl, but she guessed he was trying to ask her something. "I'm trying to figure out if you want the meat cooked or rare." She pulled out two steaks from the freezer and glanced at him. "Since I can't understand you and vice versa I don't know how you want this."
-
He frowned, and sniffed the meat. He pointed at it, and then at himself, asking if it was for him. The lack of communication would be difficult, but they could probably manage. Part of him felt bad about scaring her, even if it was an accident. That was when Blink realized that being in this form for a while could lead to other accidents, too. He'd need to find some way to make his claws dull enough that they wouldn't slice her skin or anything else.
