It wasn't anything new, but it was interesting nonetheless. He watched with interest, understanding through the actions rather than the words. The show didn't seem very complicated, but he found the way in which it was made to be fascinating. It consisted of drawings, but they... they moved. He didn't notice that he was scooting closer to her on the couch, cuddling up next to her.
-
A slight blush crept onto her cheeks when he started to move close and even cuddled next to her. The cartoon was one of the classics she liked, about a cat always trying to catch a mouse and not ever succeeding. She glanced at heim for a moment to see he was transfixed on the show, she even wondered if they had cartoons on his planet...or maybe their claws got in the way.
-
He let out a low growl, asking her what the creatures in the show were. He had absolutely no idea what species existed on Earth, and so far, none of them were familiar. Sadie was much warmer than anything else the reptile had ever snuggled up to, so it was absolutely wonderful to be so close to her.
-
She jumped slightly, but calmed down quickly. "They are...well the bigger one is a cat and the smaller animal is a mouse..." she blushed. "You might not understand what I'm saying..." she blushed more noticing he was snuggling up closer and closer to her.
-
After a ten or fifteen minutes of them watching the show, there was a loud series of knocks at the door. Blink stood and crept off to the guest bedroom so she could answer the door.
Outside stood Mark Bennings, an employee who knew hardly knew Sadie Carter. He'd seen her around, though, and thought she was attractive enough. If only they weren't so busy with murderous aliens at all times, he would've tried to flirt with her. Though he was only at her door to drop of an emergency packet from work. Maybe, since she was his last delivery, he could stay for a bit. -
She groaned and got up. "Coming hold your horses!" She waited a few minutes until Blink was actually in the guest room before she walked to the door, opening it slightly and sighed. "What do you want Bennings? It's late and really I'm not in the mood for guest." She waited patiently, but really she wasn't in the mood to see him. The guy was weird, staring at her almost all the time. She blamed it on the goddamn suit she had to wear.
-
"I..." He froze, staring at her for a minute, then remembered why he was there. "E-emergency packet from work. About th-the escaped... you know," he stammered, struggling to find the packet. He held it out to her with a smile. "What to do if you run into it. Protocol and whatnot."
Meanwhile, Blink had flopped on the bed and was staring at the ceiling, waiting patiently for his host to return. -
She rolled her eyes and grabbed it from his hands. "Thanks and yeah I'll keep an eye out." She slammed the door closed. "Good night." She locked the door quickly and sighed. She threw the box onto the counter, not wanting to deal with work and then she walked down to her room, knocking on Blink's door before even going to bed.
-
He slunk over to the door, curious about what had happened. When he opened the door and looked down the hallway, he realized that Sadie was already in her room. He took a few steps over to her door and peeked in, letting out a little chirp to announce his presence. Though he was curious about whatever had happened, he was more worried as to why her mood had suddenly changed.
-
She was already dressed and under her covers when she heard her door creak and a chirp come from the now opened door. "I swear to God Bennings if you f---ing broke into my apartment..." she blinked and noticed her guest was at her doorway. "Ah...sorry Blink I though you were a coworker who stopped by..." she sat up and sighed, running her fingers through her hair.
-
He tilted his head in confusion, not sure if he should step into the room or not. He glanced back at the living room, as if expecting someone or something to be there, then took a few steps into the room, watching her. Not being able to talk really ruined things for the two of them, and he told himself he'd eventually have to learn English. He'd ask her tomorrow.
-
She sighed again and looked up at him. "I wish you could actually speak right now, but really I just need a hug right now." She hugged her knees lightly, a scar was visable on her back slightly since the tan top she wore shifted slightly. "I am annoyed by people at my work. They think I'm a piece of meat to mess with." She huffed lightly and frowned.
-
(A+ humaning, man)
He understood her tone, and walked over to the bed, climbing up on it to sit next to her. Big, scaly beasts like him weren't the most comforting creatures, and didn't really give hugs, but he could try. He reached out to hug her but messed up at the end, pushing her over and falling on top of her. The long reptile seemed to be content with his work, a content purring of sorts leaving his throat. -
(Confused but yah.)
She squealed and started to laugh lightly, forgetting about what happened earlier and just laughed more. She smiled up at him and heard him purr from his throat. She reached up and patted his head lightly. "Nice big lizard man." She chuckled and really just was glad her problem was gone for now. -
He gave her a sharp-toothed grin, appreciating the praise, and rolled onto the empty part of her bed. Tail hanging over the edge, Blink relaxed on the bed for a moment, then gave her a concerned look. He'd go out and figure out what was wrong if she didn't tell him... wait, she probably already had.
