"Wait!" he said, watching as she left. Since she was already gone, he figured it'd have to wait. He turned to look at the papers, deciding that if he had to wait around, he would want to try to read them. He grabbed the stack and settled on the couch, his tail wrapped around his legs. It always took much longer for the band to translate written word.

When Sadie finally got to work, it was hectic. People were running around everywhere as if they were trapped in a jar or something along that line. She worried slightly, hoping that an alien hadn't escaped a containment, but sadly that was actually what happened. Which she'd be the one to try and calm it down. She sighed lightly and started to walk to the containment area.
-
He scanned each page with his bracelet, then listened as it translated them into his own language. It was hard to keep himself from laughing at how inaccurate some of the information was, but he grew nervous as it moved into the behavioral section. It suggested that his species would play innocent, even friendly, until they were aware of what they were up against. Then they'd go in for the kill. She didn't... she didn't think he'd do that, did she?

"Keep the b------ contained you a--holes!!" Sadie shouted at her other coworkers as she shot tranquilizers at the alien that escaped containment, it was a shape changer, which were the hardest ones to subdue because they took shape of the person you care most about if you let them read your thoughts. She glared angerly at the alien, getting tired of it's antics and even her coworkers are being ninnys about fighting it. Idiots. She rushed forward, not heading their warnings about it being too dangerous, but it read her mind. She let her guard down and a copy of Blink shifted from the blob. She then stopped dead in her tracks, he was in lizard form, but it was still something that would stop her. She didn't hear the screams from her coworkers to get away or even notice she was lowering her gun. Nor even that the beast now had raised its claws and was bringing them down, then...everything sped up. She fell over and hit the ground, her side now covered in scratch marks and a loud scream escaped from her throat, but she wasn't giving up now. She brought her gun up and aimed for it's head, hitting it directly, it slumped to the ground as a blob and the world went black.
-
He set the papers aside and glanced over at the window. The alien wanted-- no, needed, to go outside. He could probably track Sadie down, if he really tried to. If he was going to be here for the rest of his existence, Blink would have to explore the world eventually. Satisfied with his decision, he stood and went to get dressed.

It had been an hour, an hour since Sadie had been attacked and transfered to the med ward, in which she kinda escaped. She wasn't a big fan if the med ward. She escaped through the rest of the building, stealing another suit from the lockers and then got out of the building. She held her side carefully, wincing almost every time she walked, people didn't give her a second glance which she was glad for that. When she got to her apartment complex she was kinda happy no one was in the lobby or the elevator. She yanked the door open to her apartment and slammed the door shut behind her, she then collapsed onto the ground.

He was just leaving the bathroom when she came in, a towel wrapped around his waist. His human form, he'd decided, smelled much worse than he did normally. The shower, he discovered, was a magical place in which one could sing his heart out. However, he wasn't concerned with music upon spotting Sadie. He rushed over, helping her up and to her bedroom. "What happened?" he asked, practically carrying her.
-
She laughed lightly and winced. "s--- that hurts. Lets just say I had a run in with a shape changer at work." She waited until he set her down on the bed. "Well I mean shape changers are easy to take down, but really this one got into my head..." she winced and grabbed her side, blood already seeping through the suit she took from the locker room. "Owch...." she hoped he didn't ask what the alien changed into, she didn't want to tell him it was actually his lizard form.
-
He listened as he headed for her bathroom, grabbing the first aid kit from the cabinet. "Did it turn into anything remarkable?" he asked, retrieving a towel, which he soaked for a moment in the tub before wringing it out and going to help clean her up. The alien started to help remove her suit, completely oblivious to the fact that it might make her uncomfortable. There was nothing sexual about making sure her wounds were disinfected.
-
She blushed deeply when he was able to get her suit off and was already trying to fix the wounds, even though the doctors at the med ward tried to patch her up with a temporary fix until surgery could be done. She wanted to cover up or do something, but the pain was intolerable and kept her mind off it. She then focused on his question, but didn't want to answer or didn't know how he'd react. She finally swallowed her tiny bit of pride. "It was you, it shape shifted into you after I let my guard down for one second."

He made sure the towel was still secured around his waist, then went to grab a dry towel. He was glad he wouldn't have to stand there and watch as she spoke. Was he really... did she actually...? There had to be an explanation. "I'm sure there's some logical reasoning behind that. You've become a caretaker, and I've become dependent. It's natural that it'd interpret that level of care as a strong enough bond. But for future reference, if it ever seems like I might attack, don't hold back. Whether it's me or not."
-
She blinked slowly, processing the words coming out of his mouth. That had to be true, she couldn't...could she have feeling for...no he's right. She didn't have feelings for him and it was just a caretaker kinda relationship. She felt like crap at the moment, feeling her self drift off. "s---...I feel like crap, worse then the time I got beaten to a pulp by a...god I don't remember what kinda alien it was..."
-
He brought out the towel to help dry off the extra water, then quickly helped bandage her. He helped her up just a bit so he could put the towel under her, then grabbed a blanket to pull over her. "You should get some rest. I'll wake you up later, if you'd like."
