Janette wanted to turn away from the kiss, but she didn't, and even willed herself to kiss him back. "Can't I go with you? I really would like to see the ship, and, anyways, I don't like being in here alone. Please, Philip?" She didn't include the fact that she would like to see if she could talk any of the crew members into helping her with her escape.
-
He knelt by her. "The whole crew is drunk, and acting careless. I don't want you to get hurt. Maybe later tonight, or tomorrow morning we'll go out. I promise."
-
"But- ..Oh, fine," She sighed, laying back down, closing her eyes in defeat. In truth, Janette was rather exhausted, and wouldn't mind a few hours to sleep it off. However, it was also a good time for her to bathe. "What about my bath? I would be out of your way.. And, clean. Can I go on and get it now? And, you know, was my dress.."
-
He stood up. "Ask Matilda. She works in kitchen." He went to his old wooden dresser and pulled out a towel. "Wrap your self in this, and then I'll take you there." He went back to the bed and set it in her lap.
-
Janette shed the blanket, standing, doing as she was told. After she had fixed it to where it would stay above her chest, she gathered up her dress and under clothes, moving to hook her arm through Philip's.
-
Philip let their arms interlock, and held it there, opening the door. Laughs and chatter echoed from from the kitchen. "I know another way." He said, tugging her arm to a small entry way. As they entered, Matilda stood by the sink, cleaning dishes. "What do you want?" She muttered, not looking up.
-
The younger kept her head down, pretending to be extremely interested in the floorboards. Janette leaned gently against Philip, aware of how much it hurt to walk. Picking at the hem of her dress, she glanced up, just briefly.
(idea wanna hear it) -
(Yesh, please tell.)
"One bath, for my friend." The older lady looked up, her eyes darting between the two. She raised an eyebrow and set the wet rag and plate down. "Hmm, I suppose. What kind of soap you want, dear? I have non-scented, lavender, and coconut." -
(He could get her knocked up and her be totally pissed at him and mess up his ship for payback)
"Lavender," She confirmed, quickly, relaxing a bit, though she was still a bit at unease, and continued to stay close to Philip, though she knew he wold leave soon. -
(Omg yas. c:)
Matilda dried her hands on another towel, and pulled out the bar of soap, along with a clean bathing sponge. "There's a small room over there," She pointed to a small room with the door slightly ajar. "And four buckets filled with water. I'd use one or two, based on how filthy you feel." Philip gently slid his arm out of hers. "I'll get you new dresses tomorrow. Tonight, you can wear one of my bigger shirts. I'll be back." He planted a kiss on her forehead, before leaving her with Matilda.
The older lady kept her eyes on him as he left. "And for your clothes, I would use two buckets." She held the contents out. "If you need help, I'll be here washing dishes for those pigs." -
"I think I'll be okay. Thank you." She took the soap and rags, exiting to the small room. Janette made quick work of moving the water into the tup, and them putting her clothing in the other two buckets to soak. She removed the towel, and sunk into the water, glancing herself over. Other than the bit of dried blood on her wrist, she was relatively unmarked, and alright.
Janette wet her hair, and then slathered some of the soap into her hands, scrubbing the dust and smell out of it the best that she could. She figured that she would braid it after this, and let it out in the morning, so that it was nice and wavy. -
Philip joined the rest of his crew in the eating area of the kitchen. Eric came, and handed him a glass filled with whisky. "Eric, I can't have much tonight, and neither can you." Eric frowned. "I suppose. Let's just give the rest of outer drinks to the rest of the crew." Philip nodded and took a sip.
-
Barely ten minutes had passed, and Janette had washed both her hair and her body twice, making sure it was free of any filth. She then sat on her clothes, scrubbing them with the bar of soap, and then taking them out, spreading them where they could dry, wrapping herself in a towel. Janette had no clue what to do now- Did Philip expect her to wait here for him? Oh, and she was hungry.. And, cold.
-
Matilda came back to the door fifteen minutes later. "Need anything, dear?" She asked after nocking.
Philip eyed his half filled glass. "Okay, that's all for now, Eric." He nodded, as the two of them left their glasses behind for someone to find, and take greedily. Philip silently went to the kitchen to find Matilda talking to Janette. -
(So, after she meets the crew, time skip to two weeks later so that she can start feeling the baby?)
"I.. I'm fine, thank you," She lied, not wanting to ask for help. Sighing though, she added a quick, "When will Philip be back, though," And stood, biting her lip.
