Lovino, still smiling, nodded and reluctantly drew his hand away from Maira. He looked back at Antonio and blinked in surprise when he found the trainor staring straight at his. He gave the trunk one last pat. "Maybe I will." It seemed like an added bonus that Antonio would be there. The Spainiard was the only person Lovino knew that hadn't immediately pushed him away. The other performers didn't outright hate him, but they all have subtle hints of their distaste. But not Antonio. He always seemed happy to see Lovino, no matter how unenthusiastic he was.
-
Antonio felt himself blushing at the idea of spending time with Lovino, so he turned to gently run his hand down Maira's trunk. "That'd be nice," he agreed. He heard Gorro huff, and looked around Maira to see that he was tugging grass from the ground and eating it. Not unhealthy, but Antonio knew that it meant he was hungry. "I've got to get them back to their wagons.."
-
Lovino's smile fell away. "Oh..right." He nodded once and took a step back. "Tomorrow?" He asked, trying not to sound too overly hopeful. If Antonio questioned his enthusiasm he could always say he was looking forward to the elephants, not him. But the truth was, Lovino would enjoy spending time with Antonio too.

I really, really am against doing this but Lucky its your turn in our soap, wont ever post in this thread again, Im really sorry.)
-
Antonio nodded eagerly, wanting Lovino to know he was welcome. "Of course, and whenever you'd like! Not by yourself, but I'm usually with them anyways.. So tomorrow," he agreed.
-
Lovino nodded. "See you then." He turned around before the Spaniard could see him smile. His feet crunched softly over the gravel of the tent grounds as he made his way towards his own wagon, near the front of the line. He stepped into it and sighed. It was a bit like a regular room, a small bed on one side, a little closet area, and a few other things strewn about. Next to his bed, there was a little table, on which sat a picture of Lovino and his family. His parents stood close together, their smiles captured forever in black in white. Lovino picked up the photograph. His younger self scowled at the camera, while his younger brother's image was frozen mid-laugh. Lovino frowned. People were always saying he was too grumpy. Too rude, too mean, always causing problems for other people. Maybe that's why they'd left.
-
Antonio watched Lovino go for a moment, before he turned back to the elephants. He patted Maira's trunk, then started walking again. Both Maira and Gorro floowed right behind him all the way to their individual wagons. Once the two of them were properly fed and locked up, he left them alone, going to his wagon.
Just like the other residential wagons, it was a room, though his wagon was the smallest. He didn't share it with anyone, like the other preformers, but this one was to himself, so it was a nine-by-ten rectangle that held only a bed and a desk filled with his clothes. -
It was fairly late by the time the show ended, and Lovino was exhausted. He set the photograph back down and wondered for the hundredth time why he kept it. All it seemed to do was torment him. Sighing, he tugged off his shirt and slid under the sheets, hazel eyes closing in seconds. In almost no time at all the Italian was asleep, knowing he'd have to be up early the next morning.
-
Antonio ended up staying awake for a little while, thinking to himself. The feeling he held for Lovino were a little... Complicated. He thought of Lovino as his boss, friend, and someone that he possibly even liked more than only as a friend. Which, of course, was rather taboo. In the times they lived in, they'd both be ridiculed and hung if they were caught together. Or, even worse, if Antonio made a move on Lovino and Lovino ended up not feeling the same way, he might turn in the Spaniard. Antonio shuddered at the thought, and went to bed to rid himself of it.
-
The next morning, Lovino awoke to a harsh rapping at his door. "Lovino! Get up! You've got work to do!" The shrill voice ordered. Lovino mumble a few curses and sat up, groggily rubbing the sleep from his eyes. "If you aren't out here in five minutes, I swear..." Lovino grumbled something incredibly impolite and stood up, stretching. He quickly changed clothes and stepped out of his wagon. The surroundings were new, they must've traveled overnight.
"Hmph. Took you long enough." Lovino glared at the woman. She was one of the acrobats, and had been a close friend of his mother's. She'd seemed to take it upon herself to make sure Lovino was absolutely miserable every day, and was woken at a positively ungodly hour every morning. "Don't forget, today you'll be checking on all of the animal acts, for it?" He nodded, still not fully awake, but the words registered enough for him to get a little excited. That would give him an excuse to visit Antonio. Although the Spaniard had already said it was fine for him to visit, Lovino still felt rather awkward around him. -
Antonio usually only ever awoke to his own natural clock, as he did that morning. Just when the sun was rising, he stumbled from his bed. He'd dressed in only pants the evening before, but a look outside his door told him this was alright. They'd stopped overnight in new tent grounds, apparently a day early for their next show. Luckily, there was no sign of other civilization nearby, so Antonio stepped out of the wagon and went to take care of the elephants.
When he arrived, he got into the wagons, and took a broom that was hung on the wall to clean out the floors of old hay and other waste. After this, he scattered new hay, and did this to both of the wagons. He did Gorro's last, and while he was in there, he could tell the creature seemed a little grumpy. -
Lovino decided to head towards the elephant wagons first, trying to deny that it was just because he wanted to see Antonio. Approaching the large cages, he stopped short, turning red as he noticed a certain shirtless Spanish man. He cleared his throat awkwardly, wondering if maybe he should've visited the horses first.
-
Antonio was still sweeping the floor of Gorro's wagon when he heard a cough. His first thought was that the elephant had made the noise, and he was questioning how unnatural it was for that to occur, before he spun around and saw that it was Lovino.
"Lovino! You're out here early. Do you want to come in?" He asked, holding the broom to lean against it. -
"Am I too early?" He asked, forcing himself to focus Antonio's face rather than letting his wander to the tanned skin, showing toned muscles, perfectly bare...Lovino coughed again, mentally slapping himself for staring at Antonio so crudely. "I can come back later, if you like..." He offered, not wanting to cause trouble for him if he was busy.
-
Antonio shrugged, impervious to the idea of being uncomfortable around someone with their shirt off. "No, it's fine. I was just finishing up," he said, turning away for a minute to brush the last of the hay out through the other wall of bars. "He just needs some new hay."
