"But I like video games..." Damien made a pretend sad face then laid on his back to relax more. "This floor isn't confortable."

Melanie smirked a little at Damien as he laid back. "Well it's a cave floor, did you expect a king sized bed to be in here?" Melanie laughed a little. For some reason this boy made her feel more happy. 'Hes really sweet...'

"Well, a memory foam matress would've been nice." He laughed. Damien felt more odd, still confused as to why.

Melanie gave him a soft smile and looked down at her hands. "Maybe when we get out of this huge mess you'll be able to get one all to yourself," she says.

Damien laughed. "Yeah. That'd be nice... Can I ask you something?"

Melanie looked up at Damien. Her eyes showed that she was deeply afraid about the question that he might asked. So many questions ran through her mind, and she silently prayed that he wouldn't ask any of those. "Sure," she answers softly.

"What do you think love is? I've heard of it, but what is it?" Damien started blushing, unsure as to why, but it was a thing he never knew.

Melanie was deeply relieved that Damien didn't ask any questions related to their time back with the Feds. She sighed as she thought of the question she had been asked. "Well," she started. "I-I don't know. I've never dated before, but, uh... I guess you care for the person a lot, and you both respect each other, and, I don't know." She sighed and facepalmed. "I'm really bad at this stuff."

Damien laughed and nudged Melanie. "I wouldn't expect you to be good at it. I'm not either. I'm just curious. It seems... different."

Melanie moved her hand away from her face and smirked at Damien. She nudged him back. "Different?" She questions. "How so?"

"People caring for other people. I've never known it, though us helping eachother now is kind of like it..." Damien lowered his head shyly. He felt akward.

"Well," Melanie started slowly. She didn't know what to say about that. She bit her lip a little. "I don't know what to say about that, but I guess you're right about us caring for each other right now." -
"Yeah, it is isn't it?" He smiled and absent-mindedly hugged Melanie. He realized what he was doing and jumped away. "S-sorry! I don't know what came over me..." He blushed.
