As Melanie ran she felt like crying. She didn't know why, but so many emotions were ruining through her body. Fear, sadness, relief; too many emotions. She let go of Morgans hand and she ran faster. She pushed herself and she tried to ignore the helicopter going down in flames. "Annie," Morgan shouts. "Can you make them stop shooting at us!?"
Melanie was a little shocked to be called by her nickname, she wasn't very used to it since she hasn't seen Morgan since they were taken. "I can't!" She shouted back; her voice cracked -
(I gtg for tonight. I'll be on from 9pm to 11pm EST.)
Damien grabbed the two again and teleported them to the peak of the mountain. "I can use my shadow manipulation to make a rifle. It'll help, but wcan only last for the number of rounds it holds." He lay on the peak where he can see the snipers in the towers watching for them. "Three sharpshooters, 100 meters away." He moved his hands in an odd fashion, a long black cloud appearing between the movements. When he was done a M82A1 sniping rifle composed of shadows lay in his hands. He propped it and took aim. "Start moving to the cave below us." -
(Okay thanks for the heads up on when you'll be on and goodnight! ^.^)
Morgan didn't hesitate. He grabbed his cousins hand and then pulled her towards the cave. He couldn't belive that they were free! Finally free from those horrible people!
Melanie felt bad for leaving Damien alone with just a riffle. She pulled away from Morgan. "You go," she says while looking up at the sharp shooters. Morgan stared at his cousin but the glare Melanie gave him made him begin to go back towards the cave. "Be careful Annie."
Melanie looked at one of the shooters in specific. She glared at him and consentrated as hard as she could but she couldn't get the man to stop. He was too strong. "Dammit." -
"Don't worry, and try not to strain yourself." Damien said with a glance. They must've been out of range. "A little to the right for wind aaand..." POW! KLINK-KINK. POW! KLINK-KINK. "Where's the last sni-"
Before he could finish, the was a tiny explosion of dirt a few feet to his right. "Damn. I see you..." POW! With the last round exiting the rifle it dispersed into a black cloud and then disappated into thin air.
"Melanie, you okay?" Damien asked, offering to help her down to the cave. -
(Whoops sorry)
Melanie looked over at Damien and she slowly nodded we head. Physically she was okay, but mentally she was far from it. "I thought I could help... They weren't weak enough," she says in a far away voice. She took a deep breath and she looked towards the cave. "Do you think we'll be safe here?" She questions. -
"We can have muscles over there place some rocks and I'll move a shadow to block us from view. After that we can only hope." Damien jumped down and walked into the cave. "Watch your step. Morgan, you okay?!"
-
Melanie followed curtly. She laughed on the inside at how Damien called Morgan "muscles" but her face remained blank.
"Yeah," Morgan called from the cave while peeking out of it. "Is Annie alright?" -
"She's fine. Could you put the large boulders behind you so that they block most of the entrance? I'd help, but..." He raised his arm and flexed, pointing at the lack of excessive muscle. "Anyway, how do you two know eachother?"
-
Morgan walked out of the cave and he looked at the rocks. "I don't see why it matters how we know each other," he states as he starts rolling boulders towards the entrance of the cave.
Melanie scoffs and rolls her eyes at Morgan. "We're cousins. We were really close before," Melanie points behind her towards the facility they just escaped. "Those b------s took us away from our home." -
"Oh... I'm sorry. I haven't known anyone here. I had a friend, but they put him in 3.5 testing which killed him... My parents brought me there thinking it was a good place, but they didn't know." Damien shivered remembering the events in his life. Most of what he said was true, but small lies were cloaking every word.
-
(Goodnight)
-
Melanie stared off back towards the facility. She couldn't see it, but she knew it was there. Waiting for them. Alway waiting. "I'm sorry about your friend... He must have been dear..." Melanie says softly. 'Three point five?' She thinks to herself. 'Three was bad enough,,,' Melanie then looked over at the cave to see that Morgan was done moving the rocks. "We should talk about this inside though so we're not so out in the open," she suggests.

(Night)
-
"That'd be best. I'll start a fire." Damien sat down insidethe cave and made a small fire from some sticks he had collected. "Just incase anyone gets cold, I managed to steal this blanket." He pulled out an army green blanket, but there was a tear and something shiny in it. He unfolded it and a bullet rolled out. "I guess one of them almost hit me, but... this blanket is ruined. It has a tear!"
-
Morgan shot Damien an odd look. "Someone almost shot you dead, and you're worried about a damn tear in a blanket?" He questioned. As much as Melanie hated to agree with her headstrong cousin, she had to agree with him. Damien could have died, and he's worried about a rip in the blanket. Melanie walked over to Damien and silently took the blanket from him. "I can fix it," she says softly, and she's not sure if Damien heard her or not.
