"Something advanced probably. Hopefully shoot some real guns," Serene says with an evil grin. "And with your luck I'll be aiming for the target and not something else."
Mal looked over to see that River and Melanie were struggling with their bags. He decided to walk over to River and help her first. "You need help?" he questioned when he got close enough to her. -
"We hope." Charlotte joked, giving Serene a small, but rough punch to her shoulder. Her grin was wide, and a sense of belonging overcame her.
"No, fine." River said stubbornly. Some of her golden hair was falling out of her braid, and she flipped her hair to keep it from bugging her. She punched it a few more times, trying not to let out noises of pain.
Shadow's bag was just beginning to cut up his fist. He felt the pain, and for a moment, he retracted. He seethed in pain, but forced himself to hit it again, the pain consuming his mind.
Kendall's bag did not take long to cut into his hand and make it bleed. He felt the numbness at his hand and looked down to see bright blood pooling at the places where his skin cracked. He hit a bit softer now. -
"Alright initiates," Loren speaks up just before they walk in the training room. "Today we'll be shooting. I'm sure most of you are tired of punching, punching bags all day, so we'll be shooting; starting off with paint ball guns of course." Serene groans. "Dammit, not real guns," Serene complains.
Mal lifted up an eyebrow at River as she kept punching the bag. "You're positive?" he questioned. Mal looked at River's stance, how she moved her arms when she punched; he saw things that she could work on.
Melanie sighed and stood up. She turned back around to face the bag again. Melanie takes another punch at the bag but her knuckles miss and scrape the side of the back, cutting a few of her knuckles. -
Charlotte didn't show the frustration she was feeling. Instead, she bit her lips and nodded. Paintball guns weren't ideal, but at least she'd get practice. That was the only upside to her.
River wanted to shake her head and said no, but bit her lip and nodded, punching a bit harder. She felt that numb feeling in her lip, like it was bleeding. She tried not to be as flimsy as she punched, but her body was built to move and jiggle.
Shadow continued to put effort into it, breathing in pain. He wasn't going as hard at it as he was earlier, but he was at least giving some effort. His knuckles stung, but he had to ignore the blood dripping from them, and the bruises surrounding them.
Kendall tightened his fist into a ball. He could feel his nails digging into his own skin and punched in that position. He found it felt more painful, but more natural and effective for him. -
"let's get started then," Loren says while opening the doors to the training room. There they hard targets shaped as humans set up, and several guns with little colored paint balls next to them. "And please don't shoot each other," Loren quickly added.
"Try putting your left foot in front of you when you punch," Mal says, ignoring the fact that she said that she didn't need help. "You'll become more steady and less flimsy when you punch."
Melanie quickly cursed under her breath as she goes to punch the bag again; this time the pain hurt twice as badly with her cut knuckles. -
Charlotte's smile turned into a smirk. She began to wonder what the punishment would be if she did shoot someone else. She had played painball before, she knew it hurt when you got hit, at least a small bit.
"It's my body type, you can't excuse that." River seemed slightly annoyed, and a little offended, but did as requested. She found it helped a tiny bit. She scanned Mal for a moment and sighed, continuing on.
Shadow's pain continued to grow. He knew he might not be able to carry on much longer, but instead kept going, faster, harder, faster, harder. It became easy for him.
Kendall made himself try his best, above all things. He, however, didn't find it got easier. For him, it only got harder. -
"And they expect us not to shoot each other?" Serene quesioned while she walked into the room and picked up a gun. "They expect too much out of us..."
"Well, I know that," Mal says with a nod. "Which is why you need to steady yourself more. Find different ways I guess." Mal shook his head, surprised about how much he knew about it; well, more of remembered. He remembered watching some Factionless fight each other one day when he was younger, and he didn't think that he'd actually remember anything useful from it.
Melanie kept on punching, no matter how much it hurt, and no matter how hard it was to move the bag, she just kept punching and punching. Working in Amity kitchens just making food doesn't really help build up strength. -
Charlotte smiled and let out a laugh. "Oh yes, they do." She picked up a gun and stared at the balls of paint. Yellow, red, and a bright pink. She blinked, the color of the pink annoying her eyes a little. The blonde tucked some of her untamed hair behind her ear.
Hazel nodded, "Okay, thanks." She wanted to think about so many different things at that moment, but she knew she needed to focus. River blinked a few times and continued to hit the bag, lunging forward every time she hit it. This was tiring, and she began to sweat.
Kendall's face was red, and matched his tired, tattered knuckles. Sweat was lining his face heavily, and he flicked his hair, which was also damp to a point. He grunted, getting tired of this hard exercise.
Shadow was also having some difficulty. He found his breaking point was soon to come. He couldn't continually rip up his knuckles more and more, this was painful. He bit back pain, and continued to use his muscular force to move the bag. -
Serene picked up the pink paintballs and she loaded them into her paint ball gun. She liked neon pink, and that was the only color of pink that she really liked. "Watch me fail at this," Serene says while pointing the gun at her target. "I'm going to fail this like a boss."
"And if you ever get tired," Mal adds before he goes back to his own punching back. "Hit lower. It has less stress on your body."
Melanie got frustrated again and she decided to hit the bag with her elbow instead, swinging it around and she found that this was much more effective than using her fists. She didn't know how or why, but it just was. -
"Meh, it'll be fun." Charlotte said, loading a yellow paintball into her gun first, Then she added the pink and red. She took her time to aim, steadying herself by leaning forward and pushing both elbows into the ledge. She looked into the sights and squeezed the trigger with her finger.
Hazel nodded. She knew she wouldn't hit lower, she would have to hit high if she was in an actual fight. 'That is, unless you want to hit the balls or stomach.' She witheld a laugh as River thought this to herself and hit the bag with her main hand again.
Kendall let his nails dig into his skin, griting his teeth in effort. He let loose strong, hard punches. The bag moved a considerable amount. He formed a theory of why this worked for him.
Richard couldn't take the pain anymore, so he began to knee the bag, quickly and with a lot of force. This hurt as well, but not as much as beating his knuckles bloodier than they already was. His blood was dripping onto the floor, along with some sweat. -
have you even went shooting before?
Serene decided to follow Charlotte's steps and she leaned against the ledge as well. She was a little unsteady at first but she was finally able to steady herself out. She aimed the sight up and she carefully and slowly squeezed the trigger, trying not to jerk it.
"If you need anymore help I'll be over there," Mal says quietly while going back over to his punching bag. After a few seconds of taking deep breaths Mal began to punch the bag again.
Melanie took another break after making a few more hits with her elbows. She looked around the room and yet again her eyes set on Shadow. The blood on his knuckles scared her gravely and her stomach dropped. -
Oh yus pellet gun
Charlotte watch the ball of paint hit the shoulder of the target and sighed. She collected herself, and rolled back her shoulders. She tried to calm the thrill in her and waited for a minute or so.
River continued to hit the bag, ignoring the stinging sensation. It wasn't terrible, but it surely wasn't pleasent. She snapped at herself mentally to get over it, that this was her life now. She frowned at her cruelness towards herself and continued to hit it.
Shadow grunted in effort as he continued to knee the bag. His knuckles were numb, but still dripping in blood. The bag swung to and from him in a steady rythem, and he would knee it as many times as he could before it swung away from him.
Kenall heard Shadow's continuous kneeing, as it was quite loud. He turned his attention for a moment, and watched his knuckles bleed. He compared it to his own knuckles, and immediately felt like a wuss. Pain shot through him, though, and he cringed, forcing himself to continue. -
I smashed my hand in one of those one time XD
I was a stupid little seven year old then XD
wait, I'm still stupid so...
When Serene pulled the trigger she missed the chest and she hit the throat again. Pink paint dripped down the target and Serene cringed, trying not to imagine how much real blood there'd be if she had actually shot someone there.
"Alright everyone," Four called out after a while. "You can take a break... if some of you call that work at all."
Melanie sighed and she rested her head against the punching bag and took deep breaths to try and calm herself. What am I doing wrong? she asked herself. She feel weak. -
Omg xD
Pellet guns are fun
Charlotte's next ball of paint was yellow. She took less time to aim on this one, and wound up hitting the lower stomach area. The target was splattered in yellow paint, and she smiled.
Shadow breathed a sigh of relief and walked from the target. He couldn't close his hand into a proper fist anymore without cringing a lot. He sighed and swallowed any pain.
Hazel smiled, and took no hesitation to move away from the target. She looked atShadow's knuckles and cringed at the sight.
Kendall moved over to Mal and felt over his own ripped open knuckles. An odd, prickly sensation filled his hand. -
when I was little I thought that they were called Pelicans.
so I called them pelicans XD
"Painful," Serene says while looking over to Charlotte's target. Serene aimed her gun again and she aimed for the chest again, this time hitting the jaw. "Why do I keep shooting up?" she questions herself.
"Damn painful," Mal states when he sees Kendall walk over to him. "Did you see Shadow? Holy Hell..."
After Melanie took a few more deep breaths she took her head off of the punching bag and she began to punch at it again, not caring if this may be the only time she has a break or not.
