Rayna managed a smile smile, feeling the venom wear off finally. "I hardly fought... Hunter was the one to do most of the work," she states simply.
the nurse gave him a small smile as she injected the medicine into his arm. "He should be here soon," she states. -
"He didn't even make a kill. Sure, he worked hard, but we believe you worked harder." She grinned.
Hunter was sent into a fit of tiredness and crying and just wanting his papa bear.
His father was in the elevator, so close to his son. -
"He killed Cato," Rayna stated matter-o-factly, grinning a little with her.
"Shh..." the nurse says softly. "He will be here soon, I promise." -
"How so?" the nurse tilted her head, interested in the answer.
And he was. He didn't even knock, just went into the room and rushing over.
Hunter was too busy bawling to notice. -
"He threw the knife at his back and stuck him, didn't he?" Rayna asks.
The nurse smiles a little, seeing Hunters father walk in. "I'll leave you two alone," she says while walking out. -
"I understand. I thought it was from the arrow." She applauded Hunter's work.
His father pulled a chair over and held his Hunter close. Well, mainly his head. He stroked his hair soothingly. "Shhh, stop it. It's all over now." -
Rayna shrugged which hurt her back. "Holy hell what did I do to my back?" she asks.
The nurse couldn't help but smile as she walked away. -
"You slipped off of the Cornucopia and landed rather hard. Everyone was surprised that you didn't break your spine."
Hunter buried his face in his father's chest, sobbing. "Dad, I'm so scared." His father, Henry, rubbed his back comfortingly. "I know, just, please, you have to calm down." -
Rayna remembers everything that she saw when she slipped. "Oh," she says faintly while staring at the TV blankly.
-
The nurse got a ring, so she answered. Nodding with understanding, she turned to Rayna. "Hunter can be visited now. Be very gentle, and you can only go if you're okay to walk."
They stayed like that, Hunter trying to calm himself. -
The words "Hunter" and "visited" were the only things Rayna heard. She flips her blankest off of her and she sets her feet on the ground, quickly standing up, almost colapsing because of her weakeneed leg.
-
"See..." the nurse steadied her quickly. "Do you want crutches or a wheelchair, then?"
When Hunter did so, his father rocked him ever so gently. -
"Wheelchair... totally," Rayna says, her breathing beginning to quicken as she tried to look away from the TV.
-
The nurse set the wheelchair up, easing Rayna into the seat.
Hunter was finally content. -
Rayna sighed as she tried to calm herself down. "Okay, where is he?" she asked quickly, wanting to see him as fast as she could.
