He still had the blush on his face when she appeared in his doorway. He walked over and didn't really know what to do. He then just wrapped his arms around her waist and hugged her. "It was just thunder. I'm sorry I didn't warn you about it earlier. "Another loud crack of thunder rumbled.
-
Saphirre stiffened at the sudden contact but didn't pull away. When the thunder sounded again she whimpered and flinched, instinctively wrapping her arms around his neck for comfort.
-
He blushed deeply and sighed lightly. "If you want to, you could stay in here..." he mentally slapped himself, why would he suggest that, but she was scared, like the animals at the animal hospital.
-
Saphirre nodded, still clinging to him. The thunder was do loud, and she couldn't pinpoint where it was coming from. It sounded without warning, and seemed to shake the whole building. "Y-Yes please." She said, her voice slightly muffled because she'd hidden her face in his chest. He was warm, and safe as far as she knew.
-
He nodded lightly and walked her over to his bed, removing some of the covers and putting them on her. He went over to the other side and got under the covers, when another thing of thunder rumbled. "It's only sound, but it can be scary sometimes." He wrapped his arms around her waist again, trying to get her to calm down.
-
She nodded and inched closer to him. "I-It's so loud." She stammered, still quite unnerved but slightly calmed by his presence. She shifted nervously under the blankets, feeling on edge. "Thanks. F-For letting me stay with you."
-
He blushed deeply and chuckled lightly. "You're welcome and yes it is loud...I wish I had some way to distract you from the sound, but I don't have anything."
-
She looked up at him. "Tell me about yourself." Another clap of thunder rumbled and she flinched, quickly moving even closer to him. "I-I mean, I don't really know anything about you except that you're nice and a good cook..."
-
He thought for a moment. "Well I work at a veterinary hospital for injured animals, I'm twenty-one years old, I'm a very boring person and have done nothing interesting in my life." He laughed lightly. "This helping you get your mind off the thunder?"
-
She nodded. "Aren't I interesting?" She asked, pretending to be offended. He joked like this a lot, so she hoped she was doing it correctly.
-
He smiled playfully. "Yes, you are interesting, but you're also adorable." He yawned lightly and felt his eyes close a bit.
-
"A-Adorable?!" She squeaked in surprise, blushing bright red. She saw that his eyes were closing and sighed, feeling tired herself. She layed down and snuggled into his chest a bit like a child, yawning.
-
"Mhm...it's cute and adorable you don't like the sound of thunder..." he mumbled lightly and soon drifted off to sleep.
-
She glanced up at his sleeping face and noticed how relaxed he looked. He was handsome, she noticed as well, before closing her own eyes and drifting off beside him.
-
When morning came, it was a slight drizzle still out side when his alarm went off. He reached his arm out from under the cover and pressed the snooze button. He was about to get up, but noticed that Saphirre was in his bed. He blinked lightly, not remembering much from last night.
