Thread Topic: Roleplay anyone?

Zane sighed and grabbed Grace's hands.

Grace looks up at Zane, her eyes red and puffy. "Are you sure you don't need anything?" Grace asks again.

"I need nothing." Zane managed small smile. It was mainly false, but, hey, better than nothing.

Grace nodded and managed to smile back a little. "I-I'm sorry," Grace stutters. "really, I am."

"I know, and it's not your fault." Zane sigjed.

Grace hiccuped a little as she thought, and her thoughts made more tears swell in her eyes.

Zane sighed, depressed.

"M-Maybe it is," Grace states weakly.

"It's not." Zane insured stubbornly

"Maybe it is," Grace says again, her voice cracking. "If I didn't fight back, h-he'd still have me. H-He wouldn't have g-gone after you m-mom-" Grace stops there, closing her eyes and looking down.

"Stop." Zane persisted, anger welling up In him.

Grace sighs harshly, her hands shaking.

Zane got up and hugged her tightly.

Grace held onto him, trying her best not to cry. It wasn't her mother who was taken. She was perfectly safe, her mother was perfectly safe: Zane had the only reason to cry.

Zane whispered, "Its fine." Into her ear, lightly and caringly."
