Maria bit her lip and looked down at her stomach. "I guess you're right. Maybe I'll take a nap after work or something."

"Go take a nap now Missy." She pushed her over to a couch and summoned a blanket. "Sleep."

"What about work? Someone has to clean up that vase. And," She blushed, a little embarrassed. "What if I have another nightmare?" Maria would be even more embarrassed to wake up screaming and crying while Brenda was there.

She smiled. "I'll do your work for today and for nightmares..." she placed her hand on Maria's forehead and her hand glowed blue. "There. That will block out all.the nightmares."

Maria gave her a thankful smile as she layed down. "Thank you Brenda, really. I owe you." She yawned and curled the blanket around her, her eyes drifting shut. She really was exhausted, and within minutes she was asleep.

She smiled lightly and started humming while she was cleaning. She was just happy, yet an odd feeling came over her. She felt like she was being watched.

Thanks to Brenda's powers, Maria slept peacefully and dreamlessly on the couch, every once in a while shifting under the blanket. Her form rose and fell with each breath.

Brenda walked through every inch of the house trying to find where that odd feeling was coming from. She shook her head and walked back into the living room and smiled at Maria. She blinked and looked around, everything looked fine but that feeling was still there. She jumped quickly when she felt someone put a cloth over her mouth and she soon passed out on the floor.
Clark frowned down at Brenda and walked over her, going across the room to Maria. He grinned and his fangs popped out, leaning down and getting close to her neck. -
Maria shivered, woken up by a sudden drop in the temperature. She opened her eyes and shrieked at the sight of the fangs, instinctively trying to shove him away. Her mind was racing, trying to comprehend it. Clark was here.

Brenda was unconscious on the carpeted floor breathing lightly.
Clark growled lightly when he was pushed away. "You b----!" He lifted her up by her shirt. "You allow a filthy dog to touch you, but what about me?" He grinned, his red eyes glowing. "A very wealth vampire who has control over everything." -
"L-Leave me alone!" Maria tried to keep her voice steady and avoided looking at his bloodred eyes. She stuggles against his grip but he was stronger than she was. She saw Brenda on the floor and panicked, but felt a small surge of relief when she saw that she was still breathing.

He laughed and brought Maria closer to his mouth and about bit her neck when a gun shot rung through the room and he dropped her, hissing and grabbing his shoulder.
Daniel, one of the boys was holding a pistol in his hand with smoke still coming from the barrel. He glared at Clark. "Get the hell out of this manor now you disgusting leech!" He saw Clark disappear in a dark mist and he walked over to Maria. "You okay chick?" -
Maria fell from his grip as he disappeared and her hands flew to her neck and stomach, just as they had last night. She stood, lowering her hands and gave Daniel a shaky nod. But he'd been so close...just inches away from her neck...
