He stared at himself in the mirror for a little while. What was going on at home? Did they miss him? What if, already, the community was destroyed? He was frustrated with himself for accidentally breaking the machine. It'd take a while to get the parts to fix it.

She snapped awake, remembering something. She got up and headed toward the kitchen.

He wondered if she'd have to go to school. Optis had heard that it was a regular thing for people his age to do. He didn't really want to go with her, but knew that he could find some of the parts he needed while he was there.

She locked the door, then picked up the dishes near the sink and put them in the dish washer. She then headed back down the hall, only to be tripped by an over enthusiastic Lan.

He dropped the towel and pulled on the thin, almost wetsuit-like article he'd been wearing under the jeans and hoodie. He wasn't sure what he was going to come across, so he'd made sure to wear a layer that would protect him if anything happened. Besides, it was what he would've worn under his clothes at home anyway.

She sat up slowly, glaring at the dog for a moment before using the wall to stand back up. She limped back to her room, a guilty looking Lan on her heels.

Optis opened the bathroom door and walked over to the bed, then crawled under its covers.

She sat on her bed, and patted the spot beside her for Lan to get up there. She then curled up under the covers, and yawned.

It didn't take him long to fall asleep. The bed was comfortable and he was very warm.

She fell asleep, clutching her pillow and snoring lightly. -
yeah sure
Early in the morning, he had a dream that she'd been hit by the truck and that he had to go back, repeatedly killing her and creating paradoxes. -
That dream is terrifying.
She woke up early and quickly showered and got dressed, heading toward the kitchen to make some quick breakfast. Poptarts were always good. She stuck some into the toaster, and waited. -
Optis, unable to fall back asleep, got up and decided he'd wait for her to get up as well. Not remembering that his current clothing was a bit odd, he left the guest room and walked out into the living room.

"You awake? Hungry?" Nina called, suddenly remembering she had a guest.

"What? I guess so." He walked into the kitchen. "Good morning."
