Russell smirked all the way home, but by the time he reached his house he was feeling rather upset. Why would Grant do something like that? But perhaps it was his fault. Maybe he had misinterpreted the whole situation with Grant. Maybe the glow meant nothing. He sighed and shook his head, wishing things could go back to the way they had been before that stupid scene in the locker room.
All night Russell fretted about Grant. He finally decided to pick up some flowers in the morning. If Grant wanted to play dirty than so be it. But Russell was determined to beat him. -
Before leaving for school he was sure to pick up the necklace. It was the last day of this week and he was for CERTAIN to go out with a bang. He walked to school, the box was in his bag, then he put it on his locker. During lunch he was going to present it to Ruseen and ask her to prom.
-
Russell walked to school holding a bouquet of full red roses. He would ask Mandy first thing in the morning. He couldn't hide the flowers without ruining them, so he'd have to ask her in the morning. His dark eyes searched through the crowd of high schoolers, looking for the familiar short blonde curls.
-
Grant closed his locker. He looked down the hall and saw someone holding a bouquet of flowers. Oh, he has a guess of what that idiot was doing. He crossed his arms and leaned against his locker, watching him. Ruseen approached him. But he didn't pay much attention to her.
-
Russell locked eyes with Grant. He wanted to shove past him, glaring angrily and maybe ignoring him for the rest of his life. But he...he just couldn't. Despite what he was doing, Russell could not hate Grant. Instead his eyes softened a little, and he mouthed "sorry" as he walked by.
Sorry?! His subconscious screamed at him. That b------ hooks up with some red haired chick and you're apologizing?! -
He saw him mouth something. He wasn't too sure of what it was. It looked like a sorry. But he doubted that. Grant watched him leave. Although it didn't show, he was upset. "Are you okay?" The soft spoken girl asked. "Hm." He forgot about her existence for a moment. The teen flashed a smile. "I'm fine. But um, I'll see at lunch break, okay?" He nodded to her before heading to his first class. It would've been sorta early but oh well,
-
Russell sighed. No reaction. Grant was probably not even thinking about him. In fact, he was probably locked in the janitor's closet, doing dirty things with that weird red-velvet-haired girl. Wait. Nope. He snickered to himself despite his anger. The most intimate he could see Grant ever getting with any girl was a hug.
-
Grant wouldn't dare to go any further. Especially since this was all a messed up ruse. But would Russell do... The deed with that one girl? He already kissed her on like, the first day they met. It wouldn't surprise him much. But it would hurt him. Grant scoffed. Whatever.
-
Russell suffered through his first class. No gym today. He was relieved and upset. He did want to explain things to Grant, but at the same time he didn't really want to put up with that girl right now. He would see Mandy next class anyway...
-
After that class was over, he left the room. Soon he was met up by Ruseen. Since no gym class was today, the period he went to now was cooking. It was hard keeping up any conversation with her now that it was hard to concentrate. Thinking about Russell, he couldn't pay much attention to anything else. He walked in to the class. Ruseen went to her own class and now he just sulked through this one.
-
Russell met Mandy in the hallway. With great flourish he presented the flowers. She squealed with joy and hugged him tightly, saying yes over and over again. Russell's triumph was half hearted this time though. It didn't mean anything.
Brb!) -
After blah blah blah more periods it was finally lunch break. When the be rang he was somewhat eager to give her the necklace. But not by much. He told her to meet him in the cafeteria, first he of course needed to stop by his locker. The combination was twisted in. The glasses went in, and the box came out. Grant preceded to walk in to the cafeteria.
-
Okay uvu))
-
Back!)
Russell sat with Mandy and a large group of his friends. They were all laughing except for him. His eyes were focused on something besides James Brown shooting chocolate milk out of his nose. The dark brown orbs narrowed as they quickly took in the situation. Red haired girl? Check. No glasses? Check. Little black box? Check.
Damn.
Russell watched Grant carefully, silently wishing that he wouldn't do this... -
Wb. James brown reminded me of a mix of Rick James and Chris Brown))
She was at a table with her friends, who were mostly female. Grant snuck up behind her. "Heey." He called out to grab her attention. "Oh hi, g-" she paused when she saw his face. It's like she was looking at a different person. Before she could say anything he brought her a not closer to the center of the cafeteria. They got a few on lookers. They both seemed like some beautiful Hollywood couple. Grant lifted up the black rectangular box.
