The Dude NewbieHOLY s---!
Wow... My entire GTQ experience is a LIE! Before I know it, LoneShadowWolf is a guy and IHLAOY is a girl! -
......
Lone is a man. And IHLAOY is a girl. .-. Where have you been all this time? -
You just said that so I would say this.
-
Wat.
-
Pardon?
-
Lone, tell Joker you're a man. :I
-
Oh, please. Show me PROOF.
-
I'm a man...did you seriously think I was a girl? :T
I'll post in a sec, I'm stuck up at school and trying to hide GTQ while I'm on it. -
Reyna slowly walked outside, placing the hand that didn't hold the coffee in her pocket. With a small, defiant huff at the wind that hit her full in the face.
"Damn wind." She muttered, taking a sip of her coffee and trying to decide where to move on next. She considered going back to her apartment, but something held her back. Restless energy, no doubt. Reyna didn't want to go straight home when there was so much time left in the day. With another small huff, she headed down the street. -
IHLAOY Newbie(We were in a competition? Usually I just avoid using prose unless I really need to, otherwise my posts just become bloated and full.)
Slowly, Vivian nodded. Her hands tensed themselves into fists and she squeezed them so tight her fingernails started to stab into the middle of her palm.
"Yes sir. I understand. It's just that last time I missed a payment..." Vivian cut herself off there. Nikkili didn't need reminding what happened last time, and the bruises had practically fully healed, so it was like it had never happened.
Carefully, Vivian crouched towards the bag; trying her best not to break eye contact with Nikkili this time. Grabbing the back around the neck, Vivian stood back up. With a flick of the wrist, half the bag fell open, revealing its contents.
"See, look? There's a good ten grand in here. Everything's going to be fine," Vivian said, the last part more to herself than anything. -
(Eh, sorta kinda.)
"Well, looks definite." Nikkili said with haste, eying the mound of cash on the floor. He grinned to him-self, the left corner of his mouth go up. "We need to sort this out. 5,000$ to you, 5,000 to me. He whispered such, then began to sort through the mound of cash. In about 2 minutes, he heard a gun-shot fire from behind.
"Mother-f---ers!" He yelled as he seen a window shatter across the moldy wooden floor. He then packed his SMG into his holster and took out a larger, modified assault rifle from his back sling. "You ready?!" He yapped to Vivian, firing a shot to a mugger's head instantly. -
Maru moved slowly up the street, carefully taking in her surroundings. This was the fourth time this week she'd mentally mapped this street out, and nothing appeared to have changed. A few old men that lived in the gutters had slightly shifted their positions. A few bodies had gone, a few more had appeared. It was amazing how murderous humanity could become without a hand to slap it away when it started going too far.
The wind was brisk and it chilled her face so that her eyes began to water. She rubbed at them until they were sore and continued on. She wandered down the middle of the road without hesitation. Through a complicated turn of events beginning with the world's failure to continue most forms of work once money became obsolete, cars had ceased to be an issue. Granted, she still had some connections working on her own small fleet, but that was irrelevant. Those needed to stay hidden. Her devotion to Nick's cause only went so far.
Glancing around, she noticed something at last that she hadn't seen before- a new face. A girl looking just a bit younger than her. Brown eyes. Blond hair. Maru paused in the middle of the street, tilting her head and staring at the girl. -
IHLAOY NewbieVivian hit the floor again, throwing her hands over her head as a wave of glass fell into her hair. She waited for a second with her eyes closed as the glass settled, before opening her eyes.
"What? No! I...I don't fight, sir. I'm changed! I don't even carry a gun anymore!" Vivian shouted, launching herself across the floor and taking cover next to a floor. Something tousled about in her pocket; a small form of self defense for emergencies, but it wouldn't help her in this situation. Biting down on one of her piercings, Vivian came to the decision to sit this one out.
It was either that or call Melody for help; and Melody probably wouldn't be too happy that Vivian was spending her life savings. Again. -
Reyna took another sip from her coffee, scanning the street.
Wait.
Her eyes scanned back over to examine the young woman who stood on the other end of the block. Examining Reyna. She didn't allow her eyes to linger long on the other, but she felt her wariness heighten slightly. The woman was examining her with a piercing, offsetting glare. Not much different than any other suspicious civilian in these times...and yet, there was something different. This woman looked sharper, more intelligent.
Reyna shivered, continuing on and being careful not to draw unnecessary attention. She herself was only a suspicious civilian in the eyes of anyone else. The woman was too conspicuous--almost too bold. Reyna made an effort to be normal. At least, as normal as one could be.
