Reyna's eyes flickered from one place to the other, feeling uneasiness grow in her stomach. She hadn't been to this part of town before, and she wasn't sure coming here with a stranger she didn't completely trust was entirely the best idea.
And yet she walked on, trying to calm herself. -
"Here we are," she purred, pushing the door open slowly. She peeked in before setting foot inside, and, assured that no one that would cause problems for her was around at the moment, walked in. "Right this way."
She took her usual place on a bar stool and took a second to look at the television. Nothing that mattered to her, as usual. As much information as she'd gained from the news and other programs before anarchy took hold, now it seemed it was still running solely so crack heads could make documentaries of their experiences thus far. This, of course, made the frequent recaps of the past few months much more entertaining, but gave very little in the way of new information. -
(Wait, who's the good guy, again?)
-
Reyna/Lone
-
Reyna looked around the place as they entered. It seemed perfectly ordinary, full of senseless drunkards and less-senseless men. Some just sat on the fringes of the rooms, watching the others. She took note of these people as she slid into a seat--in the long run, they'd be the most dangerous. The observant strangers in the corners.
She didn't say anything. Reyna was fully content to allow Lydia to talk or simply sit in silence. -
Maru dragged her attention away from the screen when the girl sat next to her. She smiled at her again, something she was certain she was doing too much of. Did people normally act so friendly? She blinked, trying to distract herself and be natural.
"You want anything? I have a bit of an allowance." she offered, biting at her lip. -
(Well, we need to settle who will become the ruler kind of now, so we don't have a huge fit later on. I'm the bad guy, she's the good guy. We have an epic battle in the end... Then? Who dies?)
-
Reyna shrugged, pulling absentmindedly at a loose string on her shirt. "I just had coffee. I don't really want anything."
Slowly she scanned her eyes over the room one more time, and then fixed them on Lydia's face, trying to read whatever she could there. -
We don't have to decide anything. Let it happen. And don't start rushing already. Geez. Neither are at the top right now anyway. Pretty low, actually.
-
(Joker, each person in this soap only has one character. So if someone dies, someone's out of the soap.
Also, I don't think it's a 'battle' kind of thing. Ask Maru, but I felt like it's more of a hidden struggle for power.) -
(Le late post. Sorry.)

Maru tugged at the ends of a few strands of her hair.
"Well I'm having something. Today has been very stressful for me." she chuckled. The guy behind the counter was staring contently at the television screen.
"Hullo there." Maru said in a sing-song voice, leaning over the counter. He glanced down at her, looking almost disgusted, and turned to face them.
"You want something?" he growled.
"Yeah. I don't care what as long as it's not fruity as hell." The guy swept around behind the counter, looking through a few bottles before he placed a half-full glass on the counter in front of her. Maru eyed it suspiciously.
"What do you want for this?"
"What'dya got?"
"A few connections."
"You owe me."
"Lovely." she picked the glass up by her fingertips and took a long drink with that. She set the glass down and looked over at Reyna.
"So where're you coming from?" -
*And yes, that would be correct, Lone.

(*Shifty glare*)
We can't have moar characters?
