(Oh, I can explain in-depth. I'll consult Maru first, though.)

That's a no.
Maru opened her mouth to try and answer, but collapsed into a laughing fit instead.
"Eheheheh. I.. Hehe." she put her face down on the table to try and compose herself, but that was apparently hilarious too, so she looked up at Vivian and tried to concentrate. When she'd finally calmed down a bit, she blinked and shrugged.
"I don't know what was funny just.. just then. I dunno. Um. What was the question again? Oh right. How I.. Eheh. Nono, Nikki had nothing to do with it. That c--- got nothing on me. Ehehehe.. But shush, Vivi, I can't go and.. He." she paused for a second, choking on the laughter of some punch line she just barely couldn't remember. She cleared her throat, which was already raw and was now burning furiously, and went on. "This really sucks. I dunno why I agreed to.. No, but seriously, I'm havena fun time with you, Vivi. But I might be,"
She glanced herself over a few times, then looked up at Vivian again and smiled impishly.
"Ya know, I never know what he does. I'm just gonna hafta not talk so loud." She lowered her voice to a whisper and leaned in close to Vivian, nearly knocking over all the remaining glasses as she did. "I'm here for me and just me and no one else. Self-serving little girl, that's what I am. Trust me, this is good fer me. I know what I'm doing. See, people come into this business thinkin is gonna be real easy and that's how they get,"
She paused again, sweeping her thumb heavily across her neckline to demonstrate the motion of a throat being cut.
"But me, I thought it all out, and I know what's good, and I'm doin it." -
(Whai naht?)
Nikkili settled the lowly recruits down, they nearly pissed their pants at little to nothing. As they settled down, he sat into his own plush chair. He began to speak with a serious tone.
"Compromization has happened multiple times before, so don't piss your pants just because of it." He said. A few of the recruits chuckled, while others grew uncomfortable.
"You are recruits, and all recruits face one final challenge: To kill one threatening enemy. I am going to send you all off to cut off one enemy." The recruits shrugged.
"You are to kill Maru Taiyro, aged 22. Dark brown hair, light high-lights." *Holds up a picture of the target* You are to eliminate this piece.
One of the recruits raised their hands.
"What are we? In f---in' 2nd grade 'er some s---? Speak." Nikkili said with high anxiety.
"Doesn't she work here? I thought she did." A recruit with a specialized pair of tech-glasses said.
"She does. Although, she is heavily suspected to be a mole. She does not work trustily, and has been caught to work -- or at-least chat with the enemy." Nikkili paused. "Also, another one. Vivian. *Holds a picture of Vivian Scratch*
"First name; Vivian. Last name; Scratch. Her hair is often gelled and dyed a dark shade of blue. Age? 21. Sex; female." "They are suspected to be together right now at a bar called 'Minies', we believe. We know the co-ordinates are '987.56.09983'."
"What about this 'Reyna' I've been hearing about?" A female recruit with twin pistols and dual sabers asked.
"Reyna? Top priority, for later. If you come across her, beware. She's a bit more skilled than the others, or so I've heard. Of course, she should be at her apartment right about now." Nikkili responded with.
"Stay right here. I will go get your captain, and show you him." Nikkili said as he hastily stood up and left the blank off-white room.
He walked up to Jason in the back of the office areas, whom was twiddling with files and computer tech. "Jason." Nikkili said, standing straight up. "Nikkili! What's wrong?"
"Nothing. Follow me." Nikkili said as he led Jason to the recruit's room.
"This is you're commander. I will send you to an approximate destination, and he will sniff the target out." Nikkili said, as he left and came back with a cleric, who was strangely dressed in over-lapping funnel pants and a perfect-white dress shirt with lappels. They wore a white mask similar to a Klu Klux Klan member, except for more cuts.
"This one is a cleric. Highly trained, ready for battle. He is mainly interested in medical aid, as he has several wound ailments that can cure and heal just about any damn thing." Nikkili said with excitement.
"Now, is every-body ready for extraction?" Nikkili said, noting there were about 15 recruits in all. Some un-trained, few skilled. The recruits nodded and left the room. Nikkili headed for the 'tech&hack' room.
(Hey people, the clerics will be an entirely different mafia set on uniting all gangs and forming a strict government, okay?) -
I'm calling this soap off. I'm sorry Lone and IHLAOY. You three are free to continue if you wish, but I'm done.
-
(Damn. I was having fun too. Maybe you need to focus on less of a grand scale and more of a scene by scene rp. Anyway it comes down to you, Lone; we staying?)
"I know what you mean. One for all and all for me. Gotta look out for the first...the number one. Well, that and your family. Mel says it's a very spec...specif...certain high rake sea. Family, you, country."
Glancing over at Maru, Vivian noted that she'd suddenly disappeared from her end of the table. Fumbling further and pulling herself up over the table, Vivian let out a sigh of relief when she realized that Maru had just passed out and fallen out of her seat. Chuckling to herself, Vivian grabbed Maru's drink and stood up. "Light-weight. We've only partied to 1203, that's no...nowhere near our goal."
Nearly falling over her own feet and leaning heavily on the table, Vivian carefully pulled her wallet out and threw down a random number of notes and coins. Maybe one of them was an $100, but Vivian couldn't see clearly enough to tell. It wouldn't have mattered much anyway.
Stumbling out the door, Vivian nearly crashed into a group of hastily moving people. The leader, one of the clerics, looked her over as she 'skipped' away; barely conscious enough to know where she was.
Despite their differences, Vivian really did like Maru. Sure, she worked for her enemy, but they were a lot alike. There was much more they could learn from each other, and it wasn't always you found a friend that knew how to stay alive in the city. Maybe she should invite her to join the group sometime. Or maybe that was just the alcohol talking. Either way, Vivian was uncharacteristically happy about her future, if only for a day. Because if someone like Maru could survive in the city, that meant she could too. -
Yeah, sorry. I don't have a problem with you or Lone. You're both brilliant. I took a chance with someone I wasn't sure about and I have been disappointed. I really liked this plot. Such a shame.
-
(Wait, you're calling it off just because of me?)
-
(If Maru igoing to do it, I'd prefer not to. It would be hard to continue without the maker so far into the soap, and I have a sneaky feeling Joker might try and kill everyone off or something.)
-
(I'm not going to kill every-one off... *face-desk* I mean, my character WAS going to TRY to kill your's, but I wouldn't let him with-out your permission.)
-
Hello?
-
(Alright, I guess that's that then. I'll see the two of you around. Laters.)
-
I guess it is. I just wish I knew why I "disappointed" you.
