Jordon looked up at Tia's sleeping form.

Tia's nightmares continued as she slept in a wake-free sleep.

From Shara's back, Nova carefully slid Tia into a nice, warm bed woven from the elements. He felt her forehead again, and saw her twitch. Something was bothering her.
"Jordan," whispered Nova. "Do you think she's... she's having a nightmare?"
He sighed and rubbed a few ground-up Makakonu leaves(whatever that is! XD) on the girl's nose, eyebrows, and forehead. "Watching where her face muscles twitch, it appears Tia can be restored if we can just... wake those nerves up..." -
Jordon nodded. "She must be having one..."

Nova watched patiently as Tia's skin glowed faintly, then twitched. Soon she looked normal again, but she was not waking up.
"Let's give her some time," suggested Nova, leading the others outside. -
Tia's dream body glowed faintly. Then the scene changed. The sky was cloudy and blank. In front of her was the village elder. Why he was here, in her dream, Tia did not understand.
"Tia Scarlet." The elder said calmly. "You are aware of what has become of our home." Tia's eyes widened, but she nodded. The elder continued, "Those were memories. Memories from your mother. She had a connection to you. So I allowed your minds to temporary become one. You saw the images. You saw the bomb. What you didn't see, were the deaths." Tia frowned, but still nodded. The elder took a breath. "Now comes the hard part. Telling you." His wise eyes showed signs of sadness. "Your mother died. You know what role she played." Tia's mouth dropped open. Her mother was the Water Maiden. The Water Maiden became one with any source of water. Then everything clicked. The reason why we had went past her limit without dying. Tia was the new Water Maiden.
(Sorry about practically taking control of the story. Maybe you guys could have stories in it too?!) -

Jordon Paced nervously. -
(Me, too. But don't feel bad! Your story was awesome!)
"Are you alright?" whispered Nova, wondering if Tia could hear him in her dream. -

Tia heard the faint sound of Nova's voice. She looked around, then remembered she was in a dream. Tia looked back at where the elder was standing. But he had vanished. She tried to process what had just happened. Village destroyed. Mother dead. Tia new Water Maiden. She didn't want to believe it, but she knew it was true. Tia wanted to sleep longer. To forget any of this ever happened. But fate was cruel. Tia woke up. -
Jordon was still pacing.

"Tia!" Nova cried in relief, embracing the girl.
He blushed, embarrassed, pulling away from her. "Oops... heh heh. Sorry." His face grew serious. "Are you okay? We noted you were having a nightmare of some sort. I hope it wasn't too perplexing." -
Jordon stopped pacing. "Tia!"

Tia may have been awake, but she still felt like she was sleeping. Tia nodded. "I'm fine." She said quietly. "Just overwhelmed."

"I understand," agreed Nova.
