Tia looked down. Not because she had told them who she was now. Not because she had everyone staring at her. But because the story had finally sunk in. Her village was gone. Her family and friends, gone. It was a lot to take in.

Nova smiled. "That... that's amazing." He turned to Shara. "So which part of the dragon was water? Soul, I guess?"

Only Jordan can hear Shara! Maybe Nova can speak dragon or something?)
Shara crooned sympathetically to Tia. -
Oh! Right! Sorry, forget when he turned to Shara.)

Tia smiled. "Thanks." She said sincerely.

Nova smiled weakly back.

Shara nodded with a snort of approval.

Tia frowned. "But I still want to be treated the same. I don't want to be treated special." She said. She remembered how people reacted when her mother became the Water Maiden. She didn't want that to happen. "I don't want to have my fate chosen for me. I'm going to make my own destiny. Whether I have this power or not." Tia smiled.

Shara smiled. Good.

Nova nodded, understanding. He was surprised at how humble this newly-powerful girl was.

"Well then," Tia said, smiling. "I'm Tia Scarlet, A better then terrible Water Mage in training. Not the Water Maiden, just me." She smiled.

"Good," smiled Nova.

"Well," Tia said, walking slowly. "I'm going to go practice." Tia walked outside. The walk quickly turned into a skip. She sat down by the water's edge. Tia looked down, tears welling up in her eyes. She wiped them but it didn't help. Her eyes kept watering, but she didn't cry. Her vision got blurry after her eyes were filled with tears. Tia wiped her eyes and a tear fell down her cheek.
