"Si," replied Skippito, though still a bit puzzled by these American cats. "Me llamo Skippito Friskito." Then he saw Runa. Not trusting the ragged queen, he arched his back and hissed rather profusely.
-
Runa rolled her eyes to herself before hissing back. "Who's this?" She asked dryly. Her coppery pelt hadn't raised an inch, and she kept calm as usual, the sarcastic edge in her voice ever-present. Maria smiled a little embarrassed. "Apparently Skippito." Runa nodded. "bienvenidos a la calle, seor. Hablas Ingls?"
-
"Gracias, gato gris," replied Skippito thankfully, "pero no puedo hablar Ingls."
-
(Oops... I said Runa was a gray cat! My bad!)
-
It's fine!)
Runa thought for a moment. "Asi que ... no Ingles. Pero supongo que tendra que quedarse aqui con nosotros." -
Skippito then realized how hungry he was. The Siamese nodded in reply. "Este lugar tiene algo de comida? Estoy muy hambriento." He thought for a moment. "Y gracias."
-
Maybe we can just translate at the bottom? Cuz without the accents I can't understand him...)
Runa nodded before bounding off the crate. She appeared moments later, two mice dangling from her jaws. -
Oh, yeah! Sorry.)
*"Gracias," Skippito repeated, urging to guzzle the two mice; he was so hungry.
But he only ate one, and offered the other to Maria. **"Para usted, senorita," he said generously.
(*: Thanks)
(**: For you, miss) -
Thanks!)
Runa translated quickly. "He wants you to have one." Maria blushed and smiled. "Thank you, but Mastiff has gone to get me some food already..." Runa told Skippito, "Su tom-amigo se ha ido a buscarle un poco ya."
Her tom-friend has already gone to get her some food.) -
Skippito nodded understandably and slightly bowed to Maria. Leaving the mouse with her he padded off.
Soon Mastiff returned from the dumpster. "Sorry, Maria," he apologized. "The dumpster was no good today. Maybe that cafe will discard some pecan pie for dessert, though..." Then he saw the mouse at Maria's paws.
He hesitated. "...What's that?" asked Mastiff suspiciously. -
Maria batted the mouse towards Runa, who took it without a word. "A Spanish cat got lost, and we told him we could stay here. He was hungry, so we gave him two mice, but he only ate one." She explained quickly. "But pecan pie sounds lovely." Runa looked away as she nuzzled him affectionately.
Meanwhile, Duchess looked over toBadger. "We should go back now." -
Badger nodded timidly, lost in thoughts of how worried Chara must be. "I'm sorry, Vine, we have to leave."
Skippito padded up to Maria and nuzzled her lovingly (he didn't know about Mastiff). Then he nodded and introduced himself to Mastiff.
"Got lost?" hissed the large, dark tom. He glared at Skippito. "He's seems pretty comfortable here to me." Annoyed, Mastiff left. -
Maria frowned at Skippito. "That was completely unneccasary!" She chased after Mastiff. Runa translated, say that Maria was sort of in love with Mastiff.
-
Skippito frowned, head drooping. "Lo siento mucho..." apologized Skippito forlornly. "No tena ni idea de que estaban cerca."
(*I'm sorry... I had no idea they were so close.)
Mastiff saw Maria running after him, and he stopped, slouching with his broad shoulders haunched. Then he realized something very important. But should he tell Maria...?? -
Maria gangly nudged his shoulder. "That was a mistake! I love you, not him." She said. Although the Siamese tom was charming.,.
