She nodded. "Sure, anything."
(Okay.) -
"I want to see the sunset.... One last time..." He shifted a bit. "Could you help me?"

"Sure.." She said, helping him sit up.

He swung his legs over the side of the couch, gently setting his feet on the floor.

Jenifer stood up, helping him get up as well.

Once on his feet, he felt a bit light headed. His legs shook a bit, unsteady and weak.

Jenifer helped him walk across the room, over the the big doors leading to the deck.

They reached the deck. Once outside, Christopher reached out both of his arms, steadying himself on the railing. He gazed up at the sky. It was a brilliant red, orange, and purple.

Jenifer stood beside him, gazing at the beautiful sunset.

He let out a small breath, his eyes tearing up.

She glanced at him.

"Who would have ever thought an end could be so beautiful?" he whispered under his breath, a single tear running down his face.

She hugged him very gently. "It's not the end..." She whispered.

He hugged her back, careful to lean against the railing. This was his response, this one, small hug.
