I turned and looked at him. "I had the weirdest dream last night. You wanna hear?"

"Sure." He nodded.

"Okay, so, there was this guy and he had a knife."

He resisted the urge to pull the knife he usually had on him from his pocket. Best to not scare her. "Yeah..."

"And he was chasing after me. I was running away but I couldn't go much longer. I hadn't seen my attackers face yet."

"He didn't get you, did he?"

"That's the weird part. I lost all my strength and fell to the ground and he was just about to plunge the knife into my heart..."
