He shifted her weight and opened the passenger door, sliding her onto the seat.

"Mmhm," I grumbled. I shifted in the seat to get comfortable.

He walked around to the driver's side. He opened the door and slid onto the seat. "Next time I'm leaving you in the rain," he joked.

"Shut up, please." I was really tired now since I had a rude awakening in my deep sleep. I cuddled into the seat, trying to get warmer. I had left my jacket outside but I was too tired to voice it.

He leaned forward in the seat and pulled his jacket off. He placed it in her lap and looked out the window.

I felt something in my lap and looked down. There was a jacket and it was his. "Thank you," I murmured, pulling my arms through the sleeves.

He nodded, not speaking.

I mumbled a little and started to fall asleep, calmed from the noise of the rain on the roof of the car.

He watched the rain droplets roll down the window. It was calming, actually. Two droplets would race down the glass and merge halfway down. Eventually he started to doze off.

I fell asleep and dreamed about my childhood and baking pastries with Jacque.

He slept dreamlessly.

I woke up to silence. I reached over and shook Mark's shoulder. "Hey, wake up, it stopped raining."
