I smiled at him. "You should also try to smile more often. It builds character."

He grinned a bit.

"That's good." I smiled at him then looked to see how the weather was.

He looked away. When had she started an attempt to build his character?

It was starting to rain again and it looked like there was gonna be a storm. "I think we should find some shelter." I was concerned we would get struck by lightning.

He nodded. "Good idea." He started the car.

He started driving out of the forest. They'd have to leave the town. It could very well be the last time she'd ever seen her home.

I noticed he was heading out of town. "Umm, could you just drive by my house? I'll cover my face and everything so they won't see me. I just need one last memory to carry on."

He pulled over for a moment, pondering it. It wasn't a good idea... then again, he could shut her up easily if she tried to do something. He sighed. "Give me the directions..."
