So, seeing as there's a lot of charries, I don't think we need a large amount of detail for anyone other than the boyfriend, brother, and sister.
So, here we go.~
Name: Kent
Age: 14
Other: Autistic, but highly functional. Son of the victims of murder. Bullied at school; barely functional after his parents' murders. Can remember various things (photographic memory), but only when triggered by something else.
Name: Bryan
Age: 18
Other: Boyfriend of Kent's sister. Loves her with all his heart. He'd do anything to make sure she didn't move away... Anything. Like a big brother to Kent, feels as if the Baker family is his own. -
K can I join?
-
Name: Jess
Age: 17 (almost 18)
Other: protective of Kent, loves Bryan with all her heart, really close with all of her family, suffers from depression after the death of her parents -

Kent walked out of his Algebra II classroom. It was evident that he didn't belong to the other students. For one, he was shorter than all of them; a mere 4'11" a midst a sea of people above 5'3". He barely talked, whereas others couldn't keep their mouths shut. He couldn't feel much emotion aside from anger and fear. 1134678... His school ID. His mind racked with lots of thoughts, he walked down the hall and too his locker. He had gotten a key, unlike the usual dial combination others had. The school resource staff had said it would be 'easier on Kent if he didn't have to remember a long series of numbers'. They were wrong. In fact, Kent ate, slept, and breathed numbers. He held his homework binder as he shut his locker door. He turned to leave when he was confronted by four or five students.
-
(just a question. how do you eat numbers? and breathe numbers? and sleep numbers?)
The student at the front of the group that confronted Kent smirked. "Hey, shrimp. How's it going?"
Another grabbed Kent's homework binder. "You do my homework, retard?" The student pulled a pile of papers out of Kent's binder. "I'll be taking these..." he dropped the binder, making the rest of the papers spill out.
The lead guy laughed and shoved Kent against his locker. "I'm out of here. Feel free to keep the loser entertained. Not like he understands anything we say."
The guy who took Kent's homework laughed, and grabbed Kent's locker key, shoving it in his own pocket. "Have fun with your locker, freak." -
(Basically, he is great with numbers.)
Kent grimaced, watching as they took his work and key. He'd worked for hours on that homework... He had the urge to yell, to scream in their faces... But he couldn't. He just... couldn't. Tears ran down his face. He let out one wrangled sob. He wanted it to be understood; he wanted people to realize that he wanted them to stop. But to them, he'd always be a charity case... A stupid person... A retard. -
The guy who took Kent's work laughed. "Wait, you have feelings?"
Jess saw Kent crying, and walked over, clenching her fists. "f--- off, you guys. Leave him alone." Jess shoved the bullies away, not scared of them or intimidated by them in the least. They left without saying another word.
Once they were gone, Jess wrapped Kent in a hug. "S'okay, Kent. They just want the attention." Jess stroked Kent's hair in attempt to calm him down. "I'll get the key back, and I'll talk to your teachers about the homework, okay? If I can't get the key, we'll get you a new locker with a new key. Sound good?" -
Kent nodded. "Love Jess." This had been his way of saying he cares about her. His parents found it absolutely adorable. Kent knelt down and picked up his stuff, fiddling with a torn edge of the binder as he stood up.
Bryan walked over to Jess and Kent, frowning. "What happened?" he asked, concern weighing heavily in his bright blue eyes. He placed a hand on Kent's shoulder. "What did they do to you, buddy?" He glanced over at Jess, giving her a look he hoped she'd take as, I'll kill them for this. They're dead. -
Jess smiled at Kent sympathetically. She looked at Bryan. When she saw the look he gave her, she just subtly shook her head, hoping he'd take it as, Don't hurt them or anything. Last thing we need is for Kent to get stuck in the middle of a fight.
-
Bryan sighed, rolling his eyes at Jess. I'll get them some other way. Without involving physical violence, he thought, stepping over to kiss her on the cheek. "I've got to head to my next class. I'll see you later." His hand lingered on hers for a moment before he set off down the hall, disappearing in the mass of students.
An announcement came over the intercom calling all that were involved in the hallway dispute to report to the principal's office, Kent included. -
Jess sighed. "I'll come with you, buddy. I'm part of this, too." She kissed the top of Kent's head reassuringly, and walked to the principal's office with him.
-
They reached the principal's office. Their parents were waiting for them, accompanied by the principal.
"Have a seat, everyone," the principal said, sitting down as well. "It has come to my attention that Kent hasn't been doing so well her at Canton...."
Kent bowed his head, fiddling with a zipper on his sweatshirt. He knew this discussion was about him. He didn't want to hear it. -
Jess frowned. She looked at the principal. Don't tell me...
From the look in her parents' eyes, Jess knew what was coming. She rubbed Kent's back lovingly, trying to comfort him from the news that she knew was about to be delivered.
