Honestly, this is rather easy but I'm making sure because I texted my friend my answer and I don't want him to be wrong if I'm wrong. xD
Remember, italics are my answers, plain lettering is the question!
Here's the problem:
Judy had $20 and is saving at a rate of $6 dollars per week. Ida has $172 and is spending at a rate of $4 per week. After how many weeks will each have the same amount of money?
a) Write an equation using x and y for Judy and Ida. What does x represent? What does y represent?
Judy: y = 6x + 20
Ida: y = 172 - 4x
X represents the amount of total weeks. Y represents their balance.
And there's b but I don't want to give you guys even more trouble. xD -
wouldn't y represent the total? to tell you the truth i can do this and i take pre-algerbra

If you don't know that balance is total then you should keep your trap shut. =_= -

(-12+4i)(6-8i)
-12*6=-72
-12*-8i=96i
4i*6=24i
4i*-8i=-32i
-72+96i+24i-32i
-72+120i-32i
-72+120i+32
ANSWER
-40+120i -
the -32i is supposed to have the squared symbol after it.
