Xavier put his Ipod down and decided to take a walk. He uickly changed his shirt, from a polo to a black tee, then he set out walking along the sidewalk from the sidewalk to get to his aunts house

Maddy took her half and decided to try something creative. She plucked a chunk off of the bar, rolled it into a ball, and placed in in between a branch and the tree. She stepped away and laughed as a small grey squirrel quickly scampered down the trunk, grabbed the granola ball, and flew back up and into hiding. Maddy couldn't help but smile and let out a soft laugh. She spread the rest of the granola bar out by the bank of the stream where any animal could get it. After she was done she sighed and sat down on a patch of dirt, staring up through the tree branches at the bright blue sky. "Sometimes I wonder why I'm so drawn to this place..." she continues to look up. "...but I guess it has just become part of me." -
Akira smiled as he watched the squirrel and laid down on the ground as well. "Me too. It feels like nature and animals come more natural to me than anything else.

Maddy smiled and closed her eyes. "Sometimes I wonder why we humans had to come and ruin it all. The peace and balance, I mean. High school... It destroys the beauty around us." Maddy opened her eyes and glanced over to Akira. "You have to be one of the populars to get through it, and if you're not... well... it's pretty tough. But nature... Everything is beautiful in its own way, and everything balances other beings out."

"Yeah," he agreed, looking over at her. "It seems everywhere I go with other humans, like school or home, the peace is ruined. But right now it's different. You're like, the only human that understands me." He smiled and looked back at the sky.

Maddy smiled and thought for a moment. "That's exactly how I feel, too. I've never really had this long of a conversation with anyone except my mom..." She stopped and grimaced. "That probably made me sound pathetic, didn't it?"
