Akira noticed as the girl ran away, and glared at the jocks. Before could say anything, Taka stepped up and pulled the quarterback of him. "What makes you think you can pick on my friend?" Taka said, glaring at the now surprised Mike standing there. "What the- how dare you move me away and tell me what to do! I'll show you, punk."
With that Mike went to attack, while Taka already blocked his blow and managed to trip him to the floor. The other jocks stood around shocked, and Akira stared up at his friend, wondering what the hell was wrong with him. -
Maddy hid in a stall and took out her phone. She texted Akira, she had his number from when they worked on a Social Studies project together. hey u ok? she typed. sorry i left ): Then she slipped out the back way of the school and headed home through the pass in the woods. It was so serene, and there was always something she loved about nature.

Finally all the remaining jocks left while Mike laid slowly on the floor. "Don't worry about this," Taka said, motioning for Akira to leave quickly. "Just go." Picking up his bag, Akira briskly made it out of the school. He checked his pocket for his phone and saw that Maddy left a text. "Yeah Im okay. Thanx 4 worrying about me back there." He wrote her, and started walking toward his house which was on the other side of the woods.

Akira sighed and sat down at the side of the flowing stream. It was so much more peaceful there than at school. -
Once Xavier was home, he went into his room, turned on his Ipod to Black Veil Brides and listened to You My Hate.

don't thank me. i was stupid not to stop them. Maddy replied, sighing. She spotted Akira by the stream and headed down to join him, hesitating a bit before sitting down next to him. "I love it here," she said, gazing around her. "It's all so magical... The one place I belong."

"Same here," Akira said, slightly smiling. He opened his backpack and took out a granola bar he saved. He tore it in half and gave one piece to Maddy. Then he took the other and spread some pieces of it for the birds to eat.
