Maddy squeezed Akira's hand assuringly. "Everything will be alright, I promise," she said as they headed in the front doors. Surprisingly, everyone left them alone.

Akira walked Maddy to her first class and went to his. He seemed a bit lost in a daze though and accidently sat in the wrong desk at first. -
xD i just remembered it now when i was looking for good names for other soaps. :P sorreh... i ish forgetful person.
Maddy spent all of first period wondering if Akira would be okay. She knew how it felt to lose something close to you... She acted like she cared what Mr. Pantages was saying while she spaced out, remembering what Akira had said about his house. 'It was her favorite place...' She had to fix this mess. For Akira. For his family. In order to make it up to him... -

Akira sort of sketched and took notes but was kind of out of it. He kept thinking about so many things his head hurt. How his dad would somehow be able to fix it. How he could help. How he couldn't stop thinking of Maddy. -
Finally first period was dismissed. Maddy gathered her books and headed out to her locker to meet Akira. When he arrived she hugged him. "You doing okay?" she asked, concerned. He didn't look like himself. Obviously the accident would have this effect on him, but she couldn't help but worry.

"Yeah, I'm fine. Thanks Maddy." He smiled a bit and hugged her back. "I'll be fine, you don't have to worry."

Maddy looked up at him. "You know me. I always worry," she smiled. "But at least it's for a good cause."

He smiled. "I feel so lucky to have a girl like you."

(xD i soooo wanna type this: "but we already discussed this... i'm not a girl, i'm a WOMAN!!" xD but i wont cuz i value Maddy's self respect. and that's an extremely random moment for today)
"Aw... you're so sweet," Maddy blushed. She should've been used to his compliments by now, but she always felt like she was on the top of the world when she heard his voice. "Y'know, the feeling is quite mutual." -

"I'm glad," Akira smiled, it actually being a genuine smile. No matter on what kind of day, Maddy made him feel happier. They had lost track of time when a teacher in the hall said "Hey, the bell's just about to ring you two!" -
Maddy glanced at the teacher and then back at Akira. "We have art this period, right? Or is that next period..."
