I walked briskly towards the shore. I sat down in the sand and looked out at the vast ocean. I could just see bits of driftwood, the last of my father's magnificient ship. I sighed, and drew a picture in the sand.

When I finally had enough strength to walk and was finished eating. I walked outside. I saw Ese drawing something. I came up to her. "Do you think you could tell me about your country?" I asked.

I jumped, startled. I calmed down when I saw it was Ize;enda. "Of course." I said, finishing my drawing. It was of a star, with strange symbols at eash point. I began to tell her everything. The food, politics, clothing, even the people.

I listened intenstly. Her country was so, different.

I finished telling her and looked back out at the ocean. As if I were looking for something, which I was.

Suddenly I had the craving for mashed bananas. I took a bowl and sat on she shore. Warm waves slowly beat against my bare feet.

It was then I heard it. It was a strange language, and it seemed to be comming from the village. People were shouting, screaming even. I looked in the direction of the village in fear and saw woman and children fleeing. "What's going on?" I asked one of them. They ignored me, and kept running.

I knew what was happening. I grabbed Ese by the arm and ran into the rainforest, dodging over trees, until I finally reached 4 big palm trees, that stood in a circle. I squeezed through a tiny opening, and hid in between the palms.

"What is it?" I asked quietly, fearful for my family.

"Stay quiet." I ordered Ese. I bent down as low as I could. So that it wouldn't find me.

I nodded, and satyed as silent as a church mouse. I wished to know what was happening, to know what my father and Thomas were up against. Whether they would be safe or not. But, I kept my mouth shut.
