Chester frowned, standing up. ‘You don’t look like you’re okay,’ he said quietly. -
(but it was goooood)
"I said I'm fine, can you please just drop it?" Jayden said, his voice having a hard edge to it. He paused. "I'm sorry, that sounded really rude." He put the book down and looked up at Chester. -
(No it waaaaassnt but we’re still gonna do it)
Chester froze. He sat back down and looked back at his work, not saying anything. ‘It’s fine,’ he mumbled, grabbing his pen and keeping on working. -
Jayd could tell it wasn't fine. He sighed, standing up. "It's not fine."

Chester scribbled something down, not saying anything.

"I'm sorry." Jayden mumbled, feeling bad for snapping at him. "You didn't deserve me to yell at you like that." He knew it wasn't yelling, but it might as well have been given how they both reacted after.

Chester glanced at him. ‘It’s okay,’ he said quietly, looking back down. ‘Was there something in my diary that triggered you?’

Jayden shook his head. "No." He lied. "Just didn't get a lot of sleep last night so I'm cranky." He lied TWICE, he had some of the best sleep he'd ever gotten that night.

‘Right. If you’re sure,’ Chester said, though not quite believing him. ‘You looked pretty comfortable in my bed, though,’ he said, glancing back up at him with a teasing smile.

"You were looking at me while I slept? Creep." Jayden made it clear that he was joking in his tone, smirking.

Chester blushed. ‘Well, you were sleeping in my bed, so I think I had the right to,’ he teased, but with a slightly nervous chuckle. And you looked so cute but that’s not important.

Jayden chuckled. "Fair enough. Although you could've kicked me out since it is your bed..."

Chester blushed but shook his head. ‘Nah, I didn’t want to wake you up. I don’t mind, honestly,’ he said.

"You should've, it's your own room."

‘I didn’t want to,’ Chester said, finishing off his work.
