Maeve rolled her eyes. ‘Absolutely not. You have terrible taste in women, anyway.’
Chester looked down. ‘Oh, shut up,’ he muttered. -
(HE'LL BE YOUR f---ING WIFE)
"Why should I? You know it's true." -
(HELL YEAH)
Chester exhaled sharply. ‘Just shush.’ -
(LIKE COME ON CHESTERRRR)
Maeve huffed, but shut up. Jayden looked at the two of them, too nervous to say anything. -
(REAL)
Chester didn’t speak the rest of his meal. He finished his food and stood up. -
Jayden finished his meal as well, walking with Chester.

Chester stuck his hands in his pockets, looking down at the ground.

"What was all that about?" Jayden asked softly.
(I'm gonna go, I'll be on Pinterest for 10 minutes before going to bed) -
‘Nothing,’ Chester mumbled, avoiding his gaze.

Jayd's gears started turning. "Was it a relationship that ended sour or something?" He murmured, mostly to himself.

Chester glanced at him. ‘I guess. I just don’t want to talk about it right now.’

Jayden nodded. "Yeah, sounds good." He went quiet. "Do you want me to leave you alone?"

‘No.. please stay,’ Chester said quietly. ‘I need the distraction anyway.’

Jayd nodded again, wanting to wrap his arms around him in a hug to show he was always there for him, but he wasn't sure if that'd just make Chester more uncomfortable.

Chester gave a small smile and looked back down. ‘Um, what do you want to do? We don’t have to start discussing political things until tomorrow.’
