Chester sighed, rubbing his face. ‘Uh, two days ago, just before Jayden arrived. Beatrice sent me a letter. I read it and just spiralled.’

Oliver nodded, writing something down. "I hope you know we were all counting the days until you dumped her ass. You deserve better."

Chester gave a weak smile, leaning next to him against the wall. ‘Thanks for your support in my relationships,’ he said sarcastically, then sighed. ‘But, as always, you were right.’

Oliver sighed, patting him on the head. "You'll find someone. Now, next question: Any drastic mood changes from seemingly out of nowhere?"

Chester sighed softly. ‘Maybe,’ he mumbled sheepishly.

Oliver wrote something down. "Care to explain?"

Chester buried his face in his hands. ‘Maybe I am gay,’ he mumbled.

Oliver raised an eyebrow. "Not quite what I was expecting." He chuckled. "How'd you learn this discovery? Did it have anything to do with you as a cat snuggling him?"

‘Maybe,’ Chester mumbled, sinking to the floor. ‘I mean, I’ve never fallen for someone so quickly- ugh, f---, that’s a lie- but what I mean is I don’t know whether I like him or not. But I like snuggling with him.’

Oliver sat next to him, setting his papers down. "Would you kiss him?" He asked before grimacing. "Sorry, that's abrasive. I'm only asking because that's the easiest way to figure out if you're attracted to him like that." Oliver wrapped his arm around Chester.

Chester leaned against Oliver, hands covering his face. ‘Hell yeah,’ he mumbled, head resting on Oliver’s shoulder. ‘f---, he’d be an amazing kisser-‘

Oliver pat his head. "Congratulations, you like Jayden. Physically, at least."

Chester sighed, rubbing the bridge of his nose. ‘Great,’ he mumbled. His mind was racing through all these thoughts. ‘But I don’t think he likes me back, so what’s the point?’

"How'd you know?" Oliver chuckled. "Did he tell you he was straight or something-"

‘No, he’s gay,’ Chester mumbled. ‘I mean, he’s just so cute and amazing… he’d never like me.’
