Jayden took his hand. "Then we'll give them some of this. They'd probably be easy to spot."

Chester sighed, looking down at their hands. ‘But if it’s contagious I could spread it to someone else…’

Jayd frowned, kissing his hand. "Love, I think it's stress that causes it." He said quietly.

‘Why would it be stress?’ Chester asked, frowning. ‘I-I’m not-‘ His head hurt. Probably the medicine not letting him lie. He figured that wasn’t good for his argument.

Jayden noticed him not finishing the sentence. He leaned into him. "Do you want to go to your room?"

‘Yes please,’ Chester said quietly. He morphed into a half bunny, with droopy bunny ears and white streaks in his hair.

Jayd nodded, standing up and pulling him up as well. He played with the bunny ears.

Chester was several inches shorter than Jayden. He buried his face in his shoulder.

Jayden held him closer. "It's okay." He murmured. "I've got you, okay?"

Chester nodded, latching onto him and sniffling.

Jayd kissed the side of his head. "I've got you." He repeated. "No matter what."

Chester nodded, clinging to him tightly. ‘P-Promise?’

Jayden frowned. "Of course. What sort of partner would I be otherwise?"

Chester buried his face in his shirt. You’d be like Beatrice. From what he could tell, Benji was clingy. He held Jayden and didn’t let him leave. Beatrice took things and didn’t care what happened to Chester.

Jayd held him closer, worried about his reaction. What did you say wrong?
