Jayden kissed his cheek. "What do you want to do?"

Chester leaned into his touch, sighing. ‘I’m gonna go distract myself in the library.’

"Do you want me to come with you, or leave you alone?"

‘Could I have some alone time? Just for a bit?’

"Of course." Jayden nodded.

Chester pecked his nose and hugged him. ‘I love you,’ he mumbled.

"I love you too." Jayden held him tight before letting him go.

Chester gave a weak smile and walked away, fidgeting with his pocket watch, ears droopy.

Jayden stayed sitting down for a moment, trying to think of what Chester was hiding from him. He thought they were done with hiding things from each other since Beatrice, but apparently he was mistaken.

Chester sat down in the corner of the library. Looking up at the top shelves. He always hid the book he was reading up there, so he could grab it when he wanted to. But bunnies couldn’t fly.

Jayden eventually stood up and started walked out of the room. Maeve appeared next to him. "BOO!" -
(Because he’s feeling depresso espresso :()
Chester sat down. He grabbed his comfort book from the very bottom shelf and sat back down in an armchair, opening up to page 107. -

Jayden screamed. "Why are you-"
"Because I'm bored."

Chester read to himself, trying to push away the thoughts in his head.

"Well then, lets do something un-boring." Jayden offered. He needed a distraction anyway.
