‘There’s no cure,’ Oliver said quietly.

Jayden went silent. "Is there any way to slow the process?" He asked quietly.

Oliver stood up and grabbed a bottle from his shelf. ‘This could. But, er, it has some bad side effects.’

"Like?" Jayden frowned.

‘Frequent headaches. And the inability to lie,’ Oliver said, looking at the instructions on the bottle. ‘I’m not entirely sure how that works, but it should at least slow the symptoms.’

Jayden took his hand, offering to take the bottle. "Thanks." He said with a weak smile.

Oliver gave it to him. ‘Try to take it before every meal. If you don’t want to be as aggressive as a phoenix,’ Oliver said, looking at Chester in concern. ‘I’ll look for things to cure it.’

Jayd eyed Chester in a 'please do it' look.

Chester sighed and nodded. ‘Alright.’ He hoped Jayden wouldn’t ask anything about parents or murder. -

Jayden smiled. "Is that all?" -
‘Yup. I’ll tell you guys if I find anything else,’ Oliver said, shooing them away.

Jayd nodded. "Thank you." He said before leaving.

Jayden sighed once the door shut.
