Chester gave a weak smile back. He took the bottle and read the instructions, then poured a drop or two into his glass of water.

Jayden leaned into him slightly.

Chester wrapped an arm around him. He swisher the water around and drank it, wrinkling his nose at the taste.

Jayd watched him, trying to think of a question to ask.

Chester looked at him.

Jayden looked up. "Do you think it'll work?"

Chester sighed. ‘I don’t know. I hope so.’

Jayd nodded. "What do you want me to ask about, for starters?"

‘Why?’

"Because." Jayden paused. "Never mind. Did you like the food?"

‘It was okay. I just hate eggs.’

Jayden nodded. "Fair enough. I'm not a fan either."

Chester nodded.

Jayd paused again. "What do you think made this happen?"

‘Maybe I caught it from someone. I don’t know if it’s contagious or not. Oh god, what if someone in the castle has it?’
