Holli's breath quickened. She tried to recoil away or shuffle backward, but it was like she was glued to the spot.
'Please...' she whispered, shutting her eyes tight. She then felt a horrible pain in her arm. She screamed. Sebastian laughed and leaned forward to cut her again, but he didn't.
Holli then heard a shout and a grunt, followed by a thump. She opened her eyes.
William was on top of Sebastian, wrestling him. Sebastian's knife was on the ground in front of her. Holli watched helplessly as the two fought each other. -
Her foot edged closer towards the knife but it was no use, she was tied too tightly too the chair and she was in too much pain and shock too move properly. Fortunately, Jason ran out from his hiding place at that very moment.
"Hey, need a hand?" He asked retrieving the knife and cutting the bounds tied around her wrists and waist. She tried too stand up but buckled into Jason's arms. This time it wasn't her leg-it was her arm.
Jason glanced at the wound on her shoulder and her arm. Blood trickled along her elbow spitting on the ground. She was loosing blood. And quick. "Your going too be alright Holli" he whispered walking behind the bush and laying her down. "Stay here" he ordered and ran off too join the fight.
"Where else am I going too go?" Holli thought groaning. All she could think about was the pain in her arm. -
After hearing several grunts and screams and thumps, Holli grew more and more worried. Then the sounds stopped and Holli's hands shook violently. She hadn't heard a gunshot, but what if it had been covered up by a scream? What if Sebastian had won the fight?
A few seconds later, William's head popped out from behind the bush. He spotted the pool of blood next to Holli's arm and rushed to her side.
'Are you OK?' he asked, taking her hand in his. Holli smiled but her pale face and bloody arm suggested otherwise.
Jason came out from behind the bush as well. 'Sebastian's unconscious, by we need to move,' he said hurriedly. William pulled Holli into a standing position and put her good arm around his shoulders, so she could lean on him while walking.
So they set off, once again. They had decided Holli's cut wasn't too deep, so they bandaged it up when they sat down again. -
Jason and William were talking in whispers while Holli slept in William's arms.
"What are we going too do now J?" he asked quietly.
Jason was silent for a few minutes-open his mouth then closing it again.
"I don't know what we are going do too" he replied emphasizing the word we. "And your not gonna like this, but I really think Holli should go back"
"Nah. If she wanted too then maybe but you heard what she said too Sebastian. Also, it's not safe remember!?" William snapped a little too loudly making Holli stir in her sleep. Slowly she yawned and sat up adjusting herself next too William. "W, what happened?" she asked softly rubbing her eyes. Then she took in her bandaged arm and shoulder, William and Jason's cuts and bruises and her eyes widened.
"W, where is h, he n, now?" she stuttered.
"Knocked out" Jason answered. "Though not for long, then he'll be on the move again"
Holli shook and William wrapped his arm protectively round her. "I told him" she cried. "I told him where my family lives and where Grandma lives" -
'I know,' William said softly. He had an idea what Sebastian would do with them but he didn't say it aloud. They were silent for a moment. Holli lay back down, her head cradled in William's lap. A few minutes later, she was asleep again.
Jason sighed and reached into the backpack. They had 4 biscuits, a very brown banana, and half of a bread roll. He passed a biscuit and a third of the bread roll to William and kept one biscuit for himself then put the rest in the backpack. -
Nobody spoke for a long time, the only sound you could hear was William crunching his biscuit and Holli's softbreathing. Jason watched his brother as he stared down at Holli stroking her hair.
"You do love her don't you?" He said.
William blushed unsure whether too tell Jason about the kiss or not.
"Yeah, we kinda kissed as well" William said bashfully.
Jason laughed.
"Really? Well, thanks for telling me Will. You haven't told me your secrets for a very long time"
"I know. I'm sorry J" he replied and they gave each other a small hug careful not too knock into Holli. -
It was a few hours before Holli woke up. The night was dead silent except for crickets and the rustle in the trees. She sat up and glanced at William, who had fallen asleep leaning against a rock.
(Sorry I gotta disappear for a moment, be back soon) -
(This is the finish to my paragraph)
Holli's arm burned and felt tight, but she stood up anyway and sat on the rock William was leaning on, her back to him.
She stared up at the sky. You don't get views like this in the city, she thought, smiling. The sky was filled with stars and colour, no clouds or pollution blocking it from sight. There was the couple of plane lights and dark clouds, but it was still beautiful.
Behind her, William stirred. He opened his eyes to check on Holli, but she was out of sight. He glanced around in panic, then noticed her on the rock. William's shoulders relaxed as he stood to sit next to her, rubbing his eyes.
They sat in silence, William's arm around Holli's shoulders, staring up at the night sky. -
(Sounds good. I'm writing this at school so it might have too be short lol)
She thought about waking him then decided against it. Better too let him rest, he'd used nearly all his energy up fighting Sebastian and Charlie. Carefully she rose from the ground and using the rock for support. She lay a hand on William's shoulder then slowly wandered of, tiptoeing as she passed Jason who was lying beside a tree. She walked, limping a little, a throbbing pain in her upper arm. Finally she reached a Willow tree, it looked beautiful reflected by the moonlight. She sat down next too it and let herself cry. She cried because of pain, because off the days events, but mostly she cried because she was scared of what would happen too her family. She wept, sobbing into her hands until they were drenched with tears. "Your such a cry-baby" she snapped too herself. -
(Nevermind, if your still up I've got ten too fifteen minutes I think?)
-
William could see she needed some alone time, so he stayed seated on the rock. Holli rubbed her eyes furiously, knowing crying wouldn't help anyone. She sat down, leaning on the willow tree, closing her eyes. She sighed into the nighttime air, shoulders relaxing.
(You wrote that really early for me I'm at school too, sorry it's short) -
(Oh sorry, I checked the time in Australia and it was anywhere between 10pm and 1am)
Holli closed her eyes, hoping too drift of too sleep but when she opened them again the sky was still as dark as it had been five minutes ago. She kicked a rock in frustration.
Meanwhile, Sebastian awoke, a big gash on his forhead and bruises and scars all over. He sat up groaning and stared at Charlie. "Where's the girl?" he asked spacing out each word. His eyes were dark and unfriendly.
"I, I don't know" Charlie stuttered.
Sebastian laughed long and hard. "I will find her" he promised. "And I will kill her" -
William grew worried and stood, following where Holli had gone. He noticed her under a willow tree, and sat next to her.
'Are... You OK?' he asked, genuinely worried.
'I dunno,' Holli replied, leaning her head on his shoulder. He wrapped his arms around her in response, and for a while they just sat there. -
Holli fiddled with William's sleeve desperate for a distraction. He glanced down at her worried. "You sure your alright?"
Holli nodded. Her re-action last time obviously hadn't been enough.
(Sorry have to go, that's why it's short) -
(All good, I have to go too. I'll get my paragraph done when I have more time.)
